Need Suggestion for Noob Tutorial

Greetings

I will start playing EQII next week thanks to a gift 3 month subscription.

I'd like to read a good noob tutorial and I'm looking for some links.

After reading the main site I think I want to play a Barbarian Fighter or Priest. So guides that focus on character building of this type would be appreciated.

    Hi there,

    You don't really have to undergo any special training in order to be able to play the game - just read the manual that came with you EQ2 package, play the tutorial mission, and explore the Refuge Island. I would suggest to try different character combinations on the refuge island, to make sure that you don't get stuck with a character that you don't like. Also, don't try to leave the refuge island as quickly as you can - there's a TON of quests, many of them are hidden, which you can solve and obtain a lot of cool equipment.

    When you're finally in the city of your choice, do some noob quests here and there (item delivery quests usually), which will give you an opportunity to explore your realm and get to know people and places. It is essential that you play with groups of people who are the same level as you are - EQ2 is much funner for groups! ::::31::

    The tutorial mission is pretty straight forward

    However, I'd recommend staying on the Isle of Refuge and completing all quests (the bird feather quest, shell quest, pirate quest, armor ambush quest, bone quest, etc etc).

    Even if you max on the level just hang out there and complete everything. (and while you're at it you can up your crafting skills a bit there too as every resource you need ...sorta...is found real close by)

    i have a thread i think its on the 2nd page here its calle "arch type guid for begginers" and it also ecplains the basics of the whole beggining of the game it should help ot alot.

    also there are tons of hidden quests, goto alakazams magical realm for eq2(do a google for it)

    and look up quets by zone then goto isle of refugee it will list and explain them all there that should get you a great head start out infront of all the other noobs.

    those are the best sites for info on eq2. choose one you like, or use them all. the clan whitestorm site is extremely detailed on the classes and spell/combat arts lists. hope this helps. ::::01::
