Switchin platforms

I was wondering if it was possible to switch platforms in FFXI..E.G-Start playing on the PC then switch to console with the same account. And if so any idea if it will be able to do it in FFIV also.

Yeah if you have an active account on FFXI you can play on all three platforms PS2/360/PC because all of them are connected to the same servers. Although you would need to have a copy of the game for each platform of course. That was the beauty of FFXI, I would mostly play on PC, but sometimes I would just jump on the 360 version and relax on the couch and XP away.
I think FFXIV will be the same because they are going the same route of multi platform support on the same server.
