well its just i want to know what goes best with each other. I want to know which work well together. I need to know which is coolest looking together. It is kind of opininon.
they are all kool man experiement with it and give em a chance... its whatever you like... a tank being necro and monk because of life steal and healing abilities
If you just want to be a warrior, you don't even have to pay attention to your secondary if you don't want. Most people build up a line in a secondary, but you can totally dedicate yourself to melee and just ignore the other part if that's the way you want to play it. Same goes for any profession.
You can fast-switch weapons in GW, so if you built up both Sword and Hammer, for example, you could use the fast sword attacks to build up Adrenaline, switch to Hammer for the big hits with knockdown, then switch right back to the sword. If you like fighting that way, then you won't be messing with your secondary at all, so it won't matter.
Like people said, nothing is cooler than anything else. Try out different stuff and see what's fun to play.
Than roll a Ranger and try that out. Rangers are a blast. What the heck, roll a Warrior/Ranger and go Sword/Strength/Marksmanship. When there's something on you, hack and slash. Caster bothering you? Pull out the bow and blast him. Just always make sure you've got a Monk around.
All these suggestions are good. Just keep 1 thing in mind. You are not playing all by yourself. Quests, guild fights all come in groups/teams. So trying to be all-rounder just for solo doesnt really complement much. Im not saying its bad, but you cannot excell in a different manner. Basically, warriors, rangers, ele, mes, necro, monk all can heal. But of course monk healing is better. And when you go in to quest or guild fights, you dont want your monk in the front battling, you want him at the back healing. So you should think based on what type of playing style you would like.
Warrior => front tankers
Ranger => Range attacker, no worry about energy running out
Ele => Close and Range attacker. Need to watch your energy bar
Mesmer => Range attacker, good for causing stress in the enemy, but not good dmg dealers.
necro => I cant really describe this, havent played this class much.
Monk => Good healer, average dmg, can go close and range attack.
The secondary part is up to you. Some people take primary for the primary skills. Others take a class for primary purely for their looks and focus totally on their secondary class. Its good for fooling people. Outward appearance, you look like ele, but you could be a pure mesmer in terms of skills. Who knows... Thats the fun about it.
