My but list....any help would be appreciated....

  • The chat interface is the crap. Pressing 'J' to change tabs and not miss anything from group, local and faction is a pain. Is there a way to move tabs and or make all chat come on one tab, but be color coded - You know, like in most every other MMO that exists? Is there an easier/better way to monitor chat I don't know of?

  • Crafting base components. Is there a guide? Chemical substance, for example - How do I make/get that? I want to make a rife, but need some base stuff that I just cant figure out how to produce.

  • LED is my faction. I like being a cop, but some of my faction mates are a pure waste. Not too much organization it seems and most people just patrol for XP, they seem to have no interest in actually maintaining the law. Nobody every patrols Titan Station or the other places - It's all NYC and Tokoyo. Is that something set by our faction leaders?

  • How do I change into civilian clothes for undercover work? In my LED uniform I'm wearing a trenchcoat that looks dumb, how can I get that off?

Agreed man, I'm actually thinking about making a suggestion post on the way chat works. I agree it's a pain in the ass currently and I don't think it's gonna change unless people start making it a priority.

On the production list, check the box that says something like "See unequipped" Go to the rifle you want to make and right click it, then hit "buy module" then you will basically own the certificate to create whatever it is you want to make.
I also use this link for when I need to craft specific things, it tells you which planet specific resources are on so it's less painful in the end to make what you want to mine/produce. Other pages on that site may help you.

A lot of my faction members on the FDC are a waste too, you can't really do much about that except out rank them and start making decisions on your own, that's somewhat the harsh beauty of this game. The LED are limited to enforcing the world of Tokyo and NYC unless told otherwise. However anything can happen, and if your faction leader(s) decide to raid another planet or trade or whatever, then you may have more places to be. But according to all the player factions right now, the LED are stuck on NYC and Tokyo. If you think about it, it isn't a bad thing, I myself spend most of my time NYC just because it's hectic and fun.

You have to buy different civilian clothes off the market. There's a specific tab for them. You put the civilian clothes in your inventory and then right click "equip" and it'll replace the gear you're wearing. You just drag the LED armor off from the F1-F8 slots back into your inventory/storage if you don't want to wear them.

Text in red. Hope it helps and hope you're still enjoying the game

Nice, thanks for that link. What about repairing gear? I noticed some of my stuff is about 40% now. Oh, btw, I posted about the chat stuff in an existing thread. If you want to make a new thread I'd gladly bump it.

As far as gear goes you're stuck. There's no way to "repair" it, so when you're done with it, you need to discard it or sell it and get something new. Doesn't really bother me as it keeps the market going. If you could repair all your armor and guns, then you would only need to buy everything once which would drop marketing on specific items to a lurching halt.

Also, I saw that thread earlier and I just now posted in it. The problem I listed pertains to the chat box though it's not exactly on topic, however you could consider it a bump. :P

I have a thread here which you could bump to show that it's very important that this get implemented.

I got some new gear. Looked at the stats this time rather than just the colors and style , which leads me to another question. Knowing who is who - I know the basic colors (red=bos, blue=led etc etc), but I'm having a hard time with civilian clothes. It seems as if you can buy buy non-color distinct clothes and roam around with complete anonymity, right?  Any trick to telling what faction a person is in that isn't 100% reliant on the color of their clothes?

I'm also having trouble witht his whole 'arrest on sight' Brotherhood thing.  Mainly because it's impossible to do. In real life a cop could stun, handcuff and arrest, but in game all I can do is say 'you have to leave'. If they won't leave I can stun them, but it wears off and then they can just jog around doing whatever (while I pointlessly stun them over and over). Eventually some cop will pull a lethal and kill the guy.....which isn't very LED.....but 9 of 10 times happens out of frustration because we no real way to actually detain  or arrest a suspect who has no penalty points.

Which leads to the other burn - I have 15pp from using some lethal bullets, but no killing. I also have no way to get rid of those points, aside from some near impossible personal objectives to complete in Tokoyo or going to jail. These should PP points should burn off slowly over time and or be burned off by group objectives. Slowly is fine to prevent abuse or gaming the game, but some other from of PP removal should exist, imo.

Not complete anonymity, but whereas armor all conforms automatically to faction color, and most civilian clothes do, some don't.

YES YES YES! They all should have a symbol somewhere on their clothing and if all else fails, if they're past rank 0 and actually mean anything, then they should have a badge on their left upper chest and you should be able to tell their faction and rank by that.

heheh i play BoS but wont go to NYC with PP on me, so i guess you just have to shoot me. but seriously LEDs are just being lazy and not do theyr work of finding them invidual that cause problems but instead they just go full on Arest on sight or even kill all gyus in same faction so i think its your LED problem. and you can remove PP in prison. just get arrested :)

edit: BTW wana buy some *cough* meds ?

Any way to change my appearance...hair color and what not? I took off my helmet today and realized I'm hideously ugly.

  • TruethTrueth Member Posts: 287

Sorry GameRev, but I take off my blue and put on a red shirt whenever I leave Earth. I also drop my department banner (no biggie since I'm only R2) and go undercover. I even take out my scanner device and put on some red sunglasses. So unless you're close enough to check out my badge, you'll never even know I got close enough to check your name. Oh, and we only have jurisdiction to enforce laws, with the exception of Most Wanted, on planets and colonies that are part of the Global Dominion.

    See ya later....

Apologies, I took you seriously. Won't happen again.

It's these types of people with little awareness and huge imaginitions that get sold this stuff.... I applaud they can overlook the things that i clearly see, i do wish I did not have the awareness god has given me. and could not be nusianced by the obvious like these players..

Civillian clothes and civillian armour gives all the time nessesary to see the big red Most Wanted sign and bring the criminal in.

Its about not drawing attention to yourself rather than actually being undetectable.

but you actually draw more attention in some cases than you would with your faction's clothes ;)
