im at my friend's house who has WoW. i want to try out the game for a while but i dont want to go out and buy the game yet. im wondering if theres anything where i can like use his copy of the game and use like a friends pass or something to play for a while like the buddy keys in EQ2 or whether i have to go and buy and make my own account.
and before i get flamed, because i know i will, i am NOT dropping eq2, i just want to play both because as i have said many times i like both games.

I dont knw wat u can do on it coz i dont play it yet. I am a fan of EQ2 and have played but i have also played wow and is different from what alot of people make out.
For starters the characters arent as toony as you think. The colours are very rich, the combat is great, it took me 15 minutes to figure the game out, got into a group immediately until we had to split, but then also immediately after that i got another group. I dont see the fuss about the community in the game so far, but i do in these forums.
This game is great, not necessarily the best but it's worth getting believe me, coming from an genuine EQ2 fan.
um....what did i say that has anything to do with that?

There were guest passes for a 10 day trial period included in the collectors edition, but I think you'll have a hard time finding any. Other than that there aren't any options at he moment.
