This is a long post, I know. But spending the 3 mins to read this will save you a lot of frustration and grief. Why do you newcomers think all the people who have played this game for more than a year HATES it and does NOT recommend it to anyone?

Cons: This is the worst game ever. Spending the 3 mins time to read this review would save you a LOT of trouble. Let me explain.
1) Community.
There are so many players that cheat, it makes the game not fun at all. This is a hardcore pvp game and if you are always up against people that cheat, there is no point to even play. Cheaters "speedhack" so they jump 10x faster than you. Cheaters "aimbot" so they do not even need to have skill to kill you. They just jump around and let their programs kill you. There are leveling bots that auto-level for you, while legitimate players work their butts off for a good character.
2) Game Masters (GM)
The GMs are doing nothing to stop these cheaters. They do not ban them even with CLEAR evidence (MANY videos made of cheaters). Worst part is they have made a public announcement to players that if players can provide videos, they will ban the cheater. Several dedicated Moderators from Conquer community forums even quit their moderator positions because TQ and GMs have done nothing to help the community.
3) TQ Digital
TQ Digital is the company for this game. They do not care about its players. TQ just care about your money. You can buy "dragonballs" (DBz) from their website using real life $. These DBz can be turned into in-game currency. Every patch that TQ makes increases the use of these DBz, so you would buy more.
TQ will not ban a cheater if the cheater bulk buys DBz from their site. They also will not help players that do not buy DBz, even if those players get hacked.
TQ is all talk, but no action.
If you are wondering how long I have played this game, I can tell you I have played enough to reach several end-game characters. TQ has constantly told the community that they will "do something" about the cheats, but they have hardly done anything adequate. I will NEVER play another game made by TQ Digital!

"From Jan. 24, 2007, you will have to come here to report hacked cases. We will handle the hacked cases if only the following requirements are met:
1. The hacked account is not shared.
2. The hacked account has been credited more than 20 Dragonball codes, either code A or code B.
3. You submit the correct information, including account ID, names, registered email, etc."
Look at requirement #2. Crediting more than 20 db codes means purchasing from their main site 20 times. The minimum purchase is $7.99 per code. That means you have to spend minimum of $159 for TQ to help you if you are hacked. Further, because of all these UNFAIR patches that has been coming out, players have been complaining on the suggestion forums. TQ EVEN LOCKED THE ENTIRE SUGGESTION FORUMS SO PLAYERS CAN'T EVEN POST THERE! Netdragon / TQ Digital is simply a greedy, penny-picking company that ONLY CARES ABOUT YOUR MONEY! PLEASE DO NOT SUPPORT THIS COMPANY!

Not talking about their new politics in 2007:
- Patch 4336 (1/10/2007) : new money introduced (CP) that you can have for DB (dragonballs is their way to make money : 5 DB costing around $15). Lottery working with CP and lots of awesome items (items that you should work months to collect obtained with a single DB and a little luck)... Since this patch, the market price of DBs was multiplied by 10, making it impossible to get a DB without buying it from TQ.
- Patch 4337 (1/22/2007) : you can level your character just paying DBs
- Patch 4338 (1/29/2007): you can get blessed paying CP (equivalent of a DB for 7 days), you then get 20% more exp, get 1 hour of double exp per day, get more stamina, curse non blessed people who would PK you...
So let's summarize : since these 3 patches, in order to get an OK experience in game, you need to spend at least $30 to $45 in DBs per month (1 per week for blessed, plus 5 for lottery, plus five in order to increase your item's quality), or you are just a weak character. And since it's a hardcore PvP game, you get owned by anybody bulking DBs.
What I think : I think that TQ is purposely making the players leave in order to focus on Eudemons (more and more players are leaving conquer online, and comparing Conquer Online to any recent paying (under $30 per month) or free MMORPG, any new player would leave really quickly) . In 6 months, the game is dead... Waiting for this day, they just try to get as much money with it as they can.
And yes, the fact that the GMs don't do anything about hackers (aimbotters, speedhackers) is bothering : I sent 2 emails to a GM, having videos of some people aimbotting, and I didn't get any answer.
So, after 2 years playing, I'm quitting this game, angry, knowing that I won't play any TQ game anymore.

Have you played for a long time ? And are you high level ? Are you participating in guild war ? If any of the above is true, you have seen a cheater : the guild war is the occasion for trojans speedhacking to show the power of their bot. If running allows you to escape more than jumping, you can be sure that they speedhack... If an enemy trojan is out of the screen and half a second after you are dead, it's not lag, he is speedhacking...
When you see that a war is ranking is KO board, u can be 75% sure that he is cheating... I've talked to warrs while they were using superman, they were just stopping and answering, and their superman didn't go away : they are usualy stopping around 3 to 5000 kills to rest their fingers though...
This game sucks now, thats why i stop to play....

Actually very few people hack or bot, thanks to TQ.
I actually have to agree. People may call Conquer out, but the truth is, the game is actually really nice in comparison to some of what's out there. The graphics aren't bad, and lag is almost non-existent most of the time. Characters who go fast are usually using skills, and characters who can use more than one job at the same time are reborn types (EX: archer & tao). Moreover, you can still have a full gaming experience for free. Even games like Mabinogi have major issues with bots (something I have yet to see myself in Conquer), and in comparison, in mabi you are almost forced to buy a character card right off the bat. No such problem in Conquer. People are creating a mountain out of an ant hill.
