I need help setting up my ATI graphics card it is the Radeon 5800 Series i never had a problem with the nvidia controls but i never really dabbled in with ATI CCC. My pc and tv are connected using a HDMI Cable, but when i look in the CCC i have my monitor and tv both pop up so i know its connected but i have no clue how to clone my pc monitor so it shows up on my tv. It could be a simple solution and im making a big deal of it but i thought id hop on here and ask for help.

Clone should be the default, where both screens show the same exact thing. Generally you want to do 'extend' to give you 2 desktops. I dunno if it's set to 'disabled' for some reason for you.
If you go to Graphics -> Desktops & Displays, then on the bottom you'll have a row of selectable monitors, right click the one you want to be the secondary screen and click 'extend'.
If you want it to clone instead just choose 'duplicate'.
thank you ill try it out my graphics card pooped out so i have to send it back and wait for my replacement.
I usually clone by right clicking on your desktop, going to "graphics options", and if there's two screens connected, there are options for what to display where. I usually have to choose, "notebook+monitor/tv/projector/etc".
This is on a laptop and I've never had HDMI options, so there may be something else involved there.
Sucks about the card dying. I hope that's not common on 5800's cuz that was gonna be my next buy.
Thank you the truth is i bought parts from newegg.com and build my computer from scratch my graphics card was the last part needed i got it and right when i installed it i realized it was DOA (dead on arrival). So i sent it in got a new one and that worked but the problem was it couldnt display the graphics so i just sent it in 2 days ago and still waiting for it. I'm hoping that 3rd time will be the charm. I just realized that the windows 7 have a function built in for cloning the monitor and etc. dont know if its better then going through ATI CCC.
