Hi, everyone. MMORPG.com will be doing a Q&A with SOE about the upcoming Dragons of Norrath expansion. We'd like to give EverQuest players a chance to ask some questions.
If you will post your questions here I will select as many as I can and include them in the Q&A. This thread will be open for one week. I'll lock it early next week (around Feb 8) and gather the questions together. I'll do my best to include as many questions as possible.
Please keep it civil and relevant to the expansion. General EQ questions may be included, but only if they can be tied to Dragons of Norrath. Also, take the time to spell out anything you might normally abbreviate, just so there's no confusion (the EQ abbreviation is excluded from this rule )
Thanks in advance for your help!

What levels are the new zones mainly aimed at? What kinds of zones are they (e.g. what mix of instanced and regular zones, raid vs. grouping zones, etc)? Will people with older graphics cards (e.g., my faithful old GeForce2) be able to appreciate the "graphically enhanced zones"?
...
This is where I draw the line: __________________.
Guild hall/tools : are these open to everyone in your guild or only to guild leader/officers? and, do these tools impact the entire guild every time you access them or can you use them as single player aids? (thinking mostly of the portal to a location and the summon corpse feature)
Thanks

My dog barks some. Mentally you picture my dog, but I have not told you the type of dog which I have. Perhaps you even picture Toto, from "The Wizard of Oz." But I warn you, my dog is always with me.
What levels will the Broodlands and the other areas adjacent to that zone be targeted towards? Will some classes be able to solo in them? Or is it strictly grouping?
What levels will this new expansion be aimed at?
Will any of the old world be updated with the release of this expansion? Updated graphics or layout changes?
How will low and mid level players benefit from this new expansion? What is in it that will make purchasing these new expansion worthwhile?
Will the Guild features cost money or will they be open to any and all Guilds very the start once they have the new expansion installed and registered?
Will the new content be solo focused(mages, druids, necros, etc) or group focused? Will there be content for both styles of play?
Most important question I feel is this.
With the addition of new lands to Everquest over the years, many areas of the original world tend to go unused for several reasons. Either that the experience in the new lands is so much better or they are simply closer to the main area where people gather, the Plane of Knowledge or Plane of Tranquility. Will SOE do anything to bring players back to the original game lands such as the Qeynos area, Freeport area, Greater Faydark area, etc?
Will the experience in these area be changed for the better to make them more desireable hunt grounds? Will the starting cities be changed to make people use them as gathering areas?
One of the best things about Everquest 2 is that everyone is one of the two cities. Giving a feeling that you are near other players and that you are in a city. Will the starting area for players be changed to a central location like, for example say Plane of Knowledge or some other area instead of players starting off in what can be considered dead cities? Will this new expansion introduce anything like this or will SOE add anything like this soon?
I hope these are picked. The last few might seem off topic but I really don't think so. With the addition of new lands in expansions, and this new expansion adds new areas, I think how they affect the other lands, more importantly the original game is right on topic and is something that SOE should be asked about, cause it really is a big part of the game that goes unused and has for a long time now I feel while new areas are always made better, making people leave the old lands more and more.
I agree with the question on whether the new Guild Hall tools are free to guilds or cost extra money to access them. Also, HOW will the Guild Halls be accessed? Will it be a special item that all members of the guild will need, or will it be a specific zone location for them to be accessed? Are all guild halls accessed from the same location? My wife and I have all expansions except GoD now...but we'll DEFINITELY be picking this one up.
