Is the PS3 version of the game going to be released on the same date as the PC version?

Thanks.

    Thanks.

    For the lazy people:

Yes, yes it will.  SE has planned for an international release on both the PC and PS3.

The first beta for international peeps is for the PC, for the Japanese it's the PS3.

I'm kinda surprised they didn't go for an Xbox version as well considering they had the last MMO game on there as well.

I do think that they are doing an Xbox version too.

they are trying too, but M$ is being stingy with how the online service stuff will work. They seem to want to force people into using XBL gold to play, but SE wants it to be silver. There is also other legal mumbo jumbo they are fighting over, so dont expect an X360 version until mabey 6+ months after the game comes out, if at all if M$ wont budge.

That's a real shame, Microsoft are always being money grabbers as usual. Though, the amount they are talking about must be small to the individual player, but I agree that a lot of people will not want to pay several charges, thus either M$ let them use Silver, where other games could try to force the same issue, or Square not charge MMO players as much as PC players, which could effect the balance of the game, which I don't see happening.

What would you think personally to it? I mean, £35 a year for an Xbox Live isn't such a big deal to me. There's not a lot of difference then paying for an online subscription and having Live anyway.

£35($50 for us NA folks) might not seem much but it adds up. Imagine folks who lost their job, in college, or have kids they need to save every cent. They would have to pay for Xbox live, FF14 subscription, and internet just to play FF14. M$ will get aboard when they see how popular(my opinion) FF14 will be, like they did with FF11.

Hmmm, I got a question about this game. Its going to be availble multiple platforms yes, but if I get it for PC will I be able to group up with someone whos playing it on say X-Box or PS3? Or the people that buy it for console or PC will only be able to interact with people using the same format as them?

That makes perfect sense. I think so too. Shame. I think they'll lose out by waiting.

PC version of me then. As long as they are transferable, I may consider the Xbox version.

You should, thats the way FFXI worked. I played with people on the 360 and ps2 all the time when on my PC.

Very awesome. I never did get a chance to play ff11 as at the time it only released for PS2 and I was already way to involved with EQ.
