a lot of threads begin with innacurate information about the game, by instance saying a dev said something that he did not said. It is calling lying and should be deleted. Free speech does not give you the right to lie

I have already been temp banned for saying just that. So beware...
If our opinion on the game is not loooove, like from someone stuffed with prozac and some other happy drugs overdeose, our posts will eventually get deleted and we banned, no matter how civil way we will say our doubts.
This site is preventing itself from having balanced opinion. I dont blame them, they are hungry for advertisement money, after all they are doing it for a living.

Well, it's their site, they do as they please :)

After being on these forums for over 6 years, and having been temp banned on several occasions myself - I can say with great confidence that I don't believe for a second that your were temp banned for saying that MO is a "alfa game" and that is all.

There are literally hundreds, probably thousands of posts already that say very negative things about Mortal Online that have not been deleted or modified at all. So this alone pretty much nullifies your post about having to "loooove" a game or your posts will be deleted "no matter how civil you are"

You KNOW that you are full of it attacking the moderators of this site for simply deleting your posts just because you don't like the game, and I'm sure you also know that whatever you got banned for was not put in the most civil way possible.

Speaking of defending Mortal Online for ummm advertising money... exactly how much money do you think Star Vault has given mmorpg.com for ads here by the way? I haven't seen any ads for the game on this website at all.

Your public attacks against the moderators of this site are noted. But I have never witnessed ANY posts or threads to be deleted just because they went against a moderators personal opinion. That's a pretty bold accusation, and one that I would guess has next to ZERO credibility what-so-ever.

    You know what's up dude. Post constructive, well thought out posts regardless of your opinion and they will stay and you will not be banned. Post in the same manner as you got banned for before, and you will likely be banned yet again {big surprise eh?}

You don't have freedom of speech on these forums period. They have every right to do whatever they like to whatever you do.

If that is the case simply counter by politely correcting the person and pointing them to the true information...

Whenever I quote something from the ocmpany I try to copy/paste the text and provide a link.  in some cases after I have done it a few times I stop, but if you ever have a quetion about the veracity of a claim feel free to ask for backup.

Assuming it's a lie is probably not the best way to go as the Devs have self-admittedly said a few things they have later regretted.  Assuming it's true without a link is probably unwise as well as some people do like to make stuff up...

anything the devs can do to get a handle on the flamebait and repetitive threads will have my undying support.

    Pretty simple really.
Back your statements up with logic and reason and you're threads/posts will likely stay.

You completely miss the point of my post and this thread.  It isn't about the moderation of flaming and trolling, but the entire deletion of the actual quality posts that appear in a thread that has regressed to a less than desirable discussion.

seriously the threads that got deleted were there only to troll or became huge flamewars, those posts weren't made to discuss but to bash, and yes I've read them and posted in them aswell, and the moderators of this forum have done a good thing by deleting them. This forum is about discussions not about trolling.

Well, I feel most people who visit these forums are adults and can handle seeing a bit of flaming, and if they see a thread locked down with reason they'll get a good idea about what crosses the line.

But I'm not in charge here... you'll do as MikeB directs.

If its a good point, close the thread for trolling or ban people, dont erase the entire thing.  Some people put alot of effort into their wall of text comments.

There is a user opening new accounts after we ban him and is behind a majority of the deleted threads. In any case, if you have an issue with our policy or anything else going on in our forums please contact me at community@mmorpg.com.
