I've read there will be a stress test after the new patch which is already arrived. So I downloaded the game, created an account installed it and now I am waiting to at least experience a tiny bit from this promising "wet dream" MMO!
I am just wondering if there are any other players who haven't bought the game yet but will participate at the test. I am pretty sure it will not give us too many chances to socialize IG but it would be nice to wander around a few minutes with people I already know.
Btw any details about the time of the test?
Will they wipe the characters after the event?
Anyway I hope Mortal Online will be a true success and that they'll use better marketing techniques than DF did.

I'm planning on getting in on it as well as the open beta. I just refuse to purchase the game unless I see some major improvements for myself. What I've seen so far reminds me too much of the mess Darkfail was.

If you purchase the beta are you hit with a monthly subscription fee every 30 days?

If you read the post by SV, they said if you are hoping to play you are in for a surprise. They are trying to "crash the servers multiple times" and you are not going to be able to play in any sort of fun way. This is their admission, they want to see what causes the servers to crash to improve performance for the open beta.
You should still try to do this, but don't expect to play much.
