I live in the Uk and have a 300k internet connection atm. My stupid bro wants to share it and i was wonderin, how well will i do on a 150k in terms of loading times and lag?
If anyone has any alternative connections they will be greatly appreciated

Considering the game is made to run playably on a 56K connection, I doubt you'd have a problem.
Hello again Tomo,
I actually believe I have the same speed connection as you do. My roommate and I download various things all the time from the internet, playing different MMORPGS at the same time, etc. and I rarely see any noticeable effect. The worst I have ever seen it is when he is downloading several big files, I am downloading files in the background as well, and my WoW latency meter is between 1,000ms-1,400ms. It doesn't make the game unplayable, and I have yet to die solely because of lag at that latency, but the possibility is there if I wasn't cautious due to delayed spell effects, damage updates from what I'm fighting, etc.
The typical scenario is him playing another game or browsing the net though, and my latency runs at a solid 40-100ms during the busiest WoW hours on a medium to high population server. (don't know how much all that affects my latency anyway, but doesn't seem to affect mine much)
So I wouldn't worry about it
No worries there.
But I must do a *WARNING* for wireless nteworks for WoW.
Wireless networks seem to function bad with WoW, atleast mine did!
I have a 5 Mb internett connection and with a good old cable, my ping is 40-100, but with wireless, it turn to 1,000-3,000!
So: Do not use wireless with WoW. Many people have problems with this!
Cheers! I'm out ::
