Yes I think we all understand that carebears do not like PvP. Yes I think everyone that has looked at the game knows that in darkfall you will lose. You will lose because you dont have as big of a time investment in the game as others, you will lose because you were out numbered, you will lose because you suck, you will lose because you were disconnected, you will lose because you had to leave your computer to take a piss, you will lose because you were jumped with a quarter health, you will be forced into pvp, and so will everyone else if this bothers you please exit the df forums you have lost your way.
WoW...if all this is true (hacks ect.) Darkfall is totally out of the question for me.. I had thought about trying it this year year sometime but theres no way I'm going to play to be free meat for the folks using hacks.. Sorry Darkfall fans!! lol

DF is way of carebear. It may be real pvp but in no way is it hardcore. EQ was way more hardcore than DF before the last 5 or so exps
just because someone didnt like the game does not mean they are carebear. they simply didnt like the game. a lot of what the guy said was true...lets face it. it was.
But for some of us it isnt necesarily bad. sorry you didnt like it op and hope you fins something more akin to your style...good luck.
Read up on his post history if you want to make judgement calls on the OP. He is a well known old school Darkfall hater. Not everyone is deserving of your kindness and respect.

my favorite part is how he claims he is going to wait 6 months to play Darkfall in his posts history so the game can get good and then in his conclusion he whines about not being able to compete with a new character and whining about how you "MUST" do something in order to play Darkfall. Sounds like the perspective of someone with a small mind.

He is pretty much the only Darkfall troll left so he had to write a book in order to make up for it. Eventually everyone will realise he has serious mental health issues and every thread will call him out on it and he will give up or just create multiple accounts and agree with himself like he usually does. I really pity him actually, must be a pretty lonely guy for doing this in his spare time.
There is a Darkfall thread on the main Mortal Online forums of which Ego posts regularly. There were a few posts within the thread saying how many positive things are going on with darkfall and the forums are reflecting as such and the opposite is true on the Mortal forums. I think that riled up a few Mortal fanboys because they all seem to be posting negative stuff here now.

For all I know it could be another honest mistake.
But just few days ago I've heard a story from guy who had his previous account banned for hacking: "Virus ate my network packets, that's why I didn't took damage while falling from high place". Such guys ruin reputation of honest hackers ... And that's why people take game review done by hacker with grain of salt.

OP has 79 pages of posts all dedicated to bashing Darkfall. This guy clearly has some kind of neurosis and unhealthy agenda against Darkfall. Keep in mind these posts were made before he even played Darkfall.

Can we really expect this review to be honest and unbiased from someone who has 900+ posts all dedicated to bashing Darkfall? Clearly this person is mature and mentally stable and we should listen to his wise words

Melee isn't underpowered you just need to know how to use it. My SG leader has had more luck killing bowmen and casters with his 1H axe than he has with magic or archery.

Thanks for the post trashburnin, I was thinking about unleashing something similar. Someone needed to do it. I can't believe egotrip hasn't been perma banned considering the amount of trolling he's actually done.

I suppose you'd be right on that, I usually get hit with a spell or an arrow first, but that's usually because they're closing the distance, and if it continues, it's because their target knows he'll be torn apart in melee.
Still... I think all three are used, it's just that archery and magic are used more because people tend to be further away from each other than right in their faces.

What is it like to hate on a game for 900+ posts and then actually try it for yourself oh wise one? You are clearly a super smart and insightful person to dedicated 80 pages of post history to bashing a game you hadn't even played
I would rather discuss the game then play this game with you, but writing up a paragraph to respond to an unfortunately ridiculous clown of a review doesn't take that much out of me. Your hobby is bashing a video game on an internet forum. Is there any comparison here? That's rhetorical, so relax.

Newsflash, carebears lose in PvE also, doesn't mean they won't play.

I don't think people understand the term carebear.
The reason why people don't like forced pvp, is because of the immature crowd of PvPers. I'm not saying every PKer is immature or a child, but lets face it, a certain MMO has given rise to the growing population of jerkwads in MMOs, unfortunately its mostly players who want to PvP. They find it fun to RUIN someone else's gameplay.
I used to play Shadowbane, I thought the game was FANTASTIC. Too bad it tanked very quickly, but that game is not something for carebears, but I believe the game did a very good job at handling pvp, too bad the game crashed way too much and the graphics were about 5 years out of date. I thought the game had a good crowd too. Same with UO, yeah there were your bad apples but every game has them.
Unfortunately, bad apples have come to enjoy MMOs in hordes. They now ruin what could be a fun experience for people who want to participate in the PvP, but don't want it to become a second job for them to compete.
tl;dr
The new PvP crowd is what ruins PvP or sandbox MMOs.
It's why I converted from playing MMOs for the PVP, to the PvE. Now I just tackle raid content with friends, and have fun, cause ultimately, its a game, and I play MMOs to play with friends and have fun.
