If I had only 1 mmorpg to bring back then it has to be asheron's call 2 .It was a good mmorpg which was released too early but was fun. What killed the game was M$ who handled the chat system and accounting and both were terribly flawed.
Lets face it no matter how nice a mmorpg is ,if there was no working chat system it will fail.Thats what happened to AC2.
Dark Age of Camelot original with a full dx11 graphics upgrade and ui/movement etc on par with recent mmo's (though not dead yet would love to see it)
Earth and Beyond f2p { Mod Edit }
Gods and Heroes rome rising (thought it had promise with minions etc.. though would need a better developement team then perpetual)
SWG pre-cu/nge minus jedi with a full graphical update; better space combat(think x-wing vs. tie fighter if made with todays computer power) throw in diplomacy mini game etc...
Lol my brother and i were talking about how awesome it would be if some company bought the rights to awesome old games, touched up the graphics a little but kept things the same.
Shadowbane hands down, probably one of the best mmos i played, they just needed to put in a better crafting system or some big world bosses aside from the guys who droped runes.
Tabula rasa was cool in beta but sci fi mmos are not my thing, although i remember leveling up with grenade launcher and flame thrower and that was a blast becuase it was so frigin OP in the beta.
Outside of MMOs i would love to see microsoft re-release halo 1 on xbox live with everything the same just maybe some polished graphics (hell i would play it as is on live). Also star siege tribes, not enough people know about that game and it was/is one of the best capture the flag fps ever made.
I would like to see RFO revived but by a good developer. The game has a ton of potential and i know there is quite a few active players on private servers,so the game definitely has a following. With better graphics, more content,a little better combat design the game would be a sure hit.Keyword>>GOOD developer would be needed, preferably a North American dev.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
Always felt Ac2 was a stunningly beautiful game with a great community, a good to great story, unique classes, some innovative quests and dungeon styles, and I liked that they kept secrets regarding their patches.
There's a lot of movement behind AC2 lately, there's even a fansite.
I have played countless mmorpgs since the closure in 2005. However I have never really "gotten into" the various games As I did with AC2.
Whether it be hunting in the middle of linvak massif, completing the vaults (which really made me care about the lore of AC2 something I havent done with any other mmorpg) , doing quest runs to hear the all too familiar and cherished "quest advanced / complete"
Or best of all just hanging out at the ikeras lifestone waiting for a fets group and playing music.
I would personally pay upwards of 50 dollars a month (no joke) for a sub to AC2 if turbine realized the error of it ways and brought this wonderful game and my home away from home back.

I'd like to see Wish and UO2 resurrected.
I'm not creative enough to have a signature
Not a close one for me:
Shadowbane.
asheron's call 2

Auto Assault!
Star Wars Galaxies Pre-Combat upgrade
Every game that died, died for a good reason and should remain dead.
Still with that said a MMO with vehicular combat might have some audience.

Darkness Falls: The Crusade, one of mythics first rvr game, even though it was a text based game it was one of the best games I have ever played.

Earth and Beyond...
Tabula Rasa
Asheron's Call 2, and maybe Earth and Beyond.

For me EnB and Auto Assault.
what was so bad about it?
I never played it, so I would like to know what was wrong with it. Same for Hellgate. What was wrong?
SWG pre cu
but if that isnt alllowed (since the lame verion of SWG still lives) then Tabula Rasa (with more content)
MMO wish list:
-Changeable worlds
-Solid non level based game
-Sharks with lasers attached to their heads
The UO2 promotional video still looks pretty good after all these years. Though the steam punk theme still puzzles me.
Shadowbane for me. UO resurrection may already be underway though it may take some time to get fleshed out.
Forever looking for employment. Life is rather dull without it.
Vanilla WoW.
It is preferable not to travel with a dead man.
Aye. I would like that and Planetside to rise up once again.
Introducing the best signature ever!

Asherons Call 2, pre cu SWG, Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast (come to think of it resurrect the Dreamcast system, many good memories).
I never got into Tabula Rasa, it bored me to tears.
Tabula Rasa.
I'm still upset about the ending.
Without a doubt Asheron's Call 2.
