So up here in Canada with the currency no so good (only compared to the US $239.99 price)

This is on my card statement:

Jan 15, 2010     CS CHAMPIONS ONLINE   408-399-19            $253.34

I hope things are ok, just an air of cautious for anyone checking their statements :) or if any Canadians out there see the same thing?

Yeah had that happen to me in afew different games as well, what I did was, cancle and retry but if it came back, I called support and they were able to do the transaction most of the time over the phone so no problem at all :) Just make sure that your credit card was'nt charged.

Yeah it said champions on my bill too.

I think that's just a holdover cause they used the same system for the champions lifetime subs. As long as it says "Star Trek Online Lifetime Subscription" in your "My Account" tab, you should be fine.

Well, since STO and CO is technically the same game, just with some different graphics and sounds... does it really matter?

Exactly, no wonder it took them 2 years to release it.

You bought a liftime account for Star Trek Online, which is actually a copy of Champions Online with a mod. Cryptic are using 99% of the developed stuff for Champions Online for Star Trek Online and because they forgot to change the name on the billing platform..... you are now complaining?

    Wow...

If they had actually developed a new game, thats when you should complain.

Be paid for Beta Testing, don't pay to Beta Test.

I also bought a life time sub.  It just makes sense in my case.  I am a fan of the mmo genre and the IP as well.  Pretending I won't be playing for the next few years is just being dishonest with myself.  5 years out + collectors edition and your looking at nearly a grand.  So $240 to play is a bargain, and the two extra accounts plus liberated borg are nice too.
