The developers of Fallen Earth are so proud of their latest additions to the game, which include new social hubs, such as taverns and player camps, a major graphics update, and gambling, that they are sure if former players got a chance to check them out they'd stick around for awhile.
To that end, former Fallen Earth subscribers should be receiving a new e-mail in their inbox highlighting the aforementioned features and inviting players back for 10 days, free of charge.
Former players don't have to do anything to take the developers up on the offer either, simply login and play!
If you're a new player feeling left out, don't worry, you can check out all the new additions by signing up for the 10 Day free trial.
UPDATE: We've been contacted with some additional details regarding this offer:
The promotion was sent to account holders that met one of the following criteria:
· Those who had not had access to the game in the past 60 days
· Those who had access but had not logged in to the game in the past 60 days

The clunkyness of the character animations is what turned me off from this game when I tried it last. Does it flow more smoothly now?
As a former player of FE (cancelled a month ago) I too got this email. Clicked on the link to see what happens and it takes you to your account log in page. When you log in it tells you that your account is expired and asks that you choose a subscription. There is no play button option. I have contacted the FE CS and informed them of this issue.
Current Games: WOW, EVE Online
Let us know what they say!
I was going to say the same, I am also unhappy the way they look, too stocky IMO.
So did the player character got a major overhaul? Otherwise I won't even bother
Just resub 4 days ago and i'm having a blast, most problems that were plaguing the game at launch are for the most part gone, includind the lag.
Mine took me to my account page with a Play Now button on it.
Anyone have links to info on the camps and gambling?
There isn't a "right" or "wrong" way to play, if you want to use a screwdriver to put nails into wood, have at it, simply don't complain when the guy next to you with the hammer is doing it much better and easier. - Allein

For God's sake it takes 5 minutes to log in and see it for yourself. They are not charging you anything, have a look for yourself.

Go to Oilville or generally and major town, and you'll find a construction trainer, pretty easy to get into it right off the bat.
Gambling is only located in bars (theres bars everywhere) that have a major "traveler" influence. Pretty much in short it means any larger town should have gambling....
Hope that hlps a little
I play all ghame

Calm down tiger.............
I just played beta and uninstalled it after 1 week, I am not going to reinstall it just to check if the characters looks and move like proper human beings............
Anyway I checked my email and got the link of the screenshots of the graphic upgrade.............unfortunately they upgraded the environment which was great already, but missed the most obvious graphic problem (for some), the player characters.
I hope they really put some effort in reworking them, til then I ll give it a miss.
was in beta but i never got the game, i do wish i got it now :{
I agree wit hSte2000,the upgrade they made ,would have been the least of my concerns for the game.It really makes me wonder who is influencing some of these weird decisions. If anyone is a stickler for graphics i am that person, but the graphics in FE were not to the point of bothering me,i would have spent zero cost/time/resources in that area, and get some people working on animations and world interaction.
Never forget 3 mile Island and never trust a government official or company spokesman.
I wish more game companies would realize that the real-time limited trial is a weak idea. Don't they realize how many of us are in the middle of some other game, or even real life issues that cut down on game time? I might want to give their game a shot, but not necessarily right now, or within 10 days. Even if it's 10 days as of signing up, it's hard to know when I'll be ready to give it a serious trial, so I tend to sign up right away, and maybe get around to it. Maybe not.
I like the trials that just give you the first few levels, to play for however long it takes me to play through them. Or if that doesn't work for some reason, what about a trial that gives a limited amount of time to be logged into the game, maybe something more like 15 free hours? Just something that gives the player more leeway to try the game at their leisure.
When I want a single-player story, I'll play a single-player game. When I play an MMO, I want a massively multiplayer world.
I had the same issue with the play now button.
If you had an ACTIVE sub within the LAST 60 DAYS (they forgot to tell this) you cannot return.
Only if you have an account that was inactive for AT LEAST the last 60 days. When I contacted them about it, they soon after made a forum post that said this. I asked them to give the time anyway, being that in the email there is absolutely no mention of the 60 days.
They decided that the information, placed in a forum post after the fact, was enough.
If you got the email..read it..no mention of account age at all.
Oh well, time for them to act like a real developer I guess! hehe
I kid.

I got the e-mail, but I honestly doubt that my issues with the game have been resolved, hence I will not bother with re-installing.
And one wonders...how well is the game going if they are already doing things like this??
Could it be that my predictions were true??
When I saw there was an official news bit about this 10 day return thing, the first thing I thought was, there is going to be at least one person eluding that it smells of desperation or that it it's because the game is doomed to fail, and a bunch of people saying what they dislike about the game, and agreeing with the guy that says the game is doomed to fail... So am I a psychic or something?! No, I just know how this community thinks...

If an MMO doesn't offer a trial immediately, they have no faith in their product.
If they release a trial 4-6 months after release, it's an act of desperation.
The naysayers will rationalize anything to convince themselves they are some kind of prophet, especially if it affords them the opportunity to type the word 'fail' somewhere on the intarwebz.

I agree on all counts - it's not really a sandbox at all, and even if it were, it wouldn't compare to pre-whatever SWG - except that I'm burned out on Dragon Age, and going back to Borderlands. If only the "twitch" combat in FE could compare to that, and crafting might be worth something, if it could come up with that sort of item diversity...
Not that I was able to even give FE the second chance I'd planned on giving it. Couldn't get the patcher to work. Just keeps "Verifying IFS" over and over, whatever that means.

I found out why I was having problems logging in. I contacted them through e-mail and was told that this free trial will only work if you have not logged into your account in 60 days. So if you cancelled in mid-November, about 2 months after release (so 1 month of paying for a sub), or any earlier you can use the 10 day trial.

Agree.
EvE has a perma trial offer going on like forever..................and it seems it works.
Probably because it is a great game.
If Icarus think their product is good, the free trial is the way to go, it is a marketing tool, not a desperate measure
