Its does nonthing to stand out which makes it nonthing special but thats not the thing that gets me about Allods. The game has boring combat that feels clunky, the sound effects are bottom of the barrel, the character models are generic and lack style but to each his own huh?

    Yea...exactly. Nothing special.

Piloting interstellar ships. Where groups of players are in charge separately of navigation, engines , cannons (never done in MMO...even in Star Trek that was supposed to be about this - Cryptic claimed it was "impossible")

Astral space that is ever changing, with no accurate map. Raids acuring as random and ever changing astral islands or hugamonguos monsters.

Ship PVP where pirate (player group/guild controled) ships can board your ship that is returning from raid. And after PVP battle on the ship, break in yor treasure room and steal the loot.

    Yea...

Seen it before.... (in your dreams)

I see you cant comprehend what somebody says. I never said anything about Astral space at all. I dont care about a feature of a game if the core game fails in every aspect.

After playing in the beta I fail to see how the core game fails in any aspect. Graphics are great, combat is different with no autoattack but things still die just as fast as any other game, its quest/dungeon based, and at level 35 the astral ship gameplay kicks in. That and you have a Tera logo which tells me you may or may not enjoy asian grinders with pretty graphics.

If you are saying Tera is an Asian Grinder I dare you to provide a link to anybody saying it.

I'm not a hater or troll but I am realistic. I personally would love the game to be western friendly but I am also realistic in my expectations. From those that have actually participated in Alpha and closed Beta 1 all have said it is very very similar to something along the lines of Lineage 3 if the game was ever made. I'm not making it up you can just look up the views people have. If that is the type of game for you then I have no problem defending it with you. Hell I could be wrong only time will tell.

I have also been following the game for a while also and I have heard alot of things from people who have played it. I have not heard anybody say anything about the game being a grind at all. I must admit that I am a Lineage 2 fan and with Tera being made by Lineage 2 developers it has me excited. That and the real time non auto target combat system makes it my most anticipated. As you said we will have to just wait and see.

I can understand not liking the game, that's a matter of opinion... but how is the movement not good? You can click to move or use WASD, and it's silky smooth. It's on par with WOW in that regard.

I disagree. The movement is so far from Silky Smooth. It looks like camera movement, not Character Movement, not to mention instead of walking or running, it looks like they are prancing.

It's not the controls. They are standard controls.

No. I don't like the game, There are allot of games out there that I don't care for, but to claim that the game is compeered to a Polished game like WOW, {That I do not Play} That statement is just a total Lie. It isn’t even close. Runes of Magic Blows this game out of the water, and I consider that it be just an OK game.

Everyone likes their own thing, and I get that. I just can’t stand when some one hypes a game with lies. I did not like this game. True, and would never have even commented on it if it didn't tick me off with such a bogus review

    For me,

    Graphics 5/10

    Controls 8/10

    Story 4/10

    Game play 4/10

    Movement 3/10

There is NOTHING special about this game what so ever, and to hype it like it is, is a bold face lie. It is a mediocre game that is a clone of every other WOW want-a-be game out there.

everyone has their own opinion. no need to be such a dick about someone's review.

some people love fish. some people say its the greatest thing in the world. i hate fish with a passion. does it mean that fish isnt great to some people just because i dont like it? no, it just means i dont like it.

just like  games. some people will like it some wont.

GA is solid with very fun gameplay but in the end can be hurled into a bin with all of the other "MMO Lite" shooters that simply don't offer enough to justify a monthly sub.  I'm not sure why it is these game publishers haven't figured that out yet but alas its a bit of shame given that Hi-Rez has created a good, solid game overall.  I just don't see anything here with any long term staying power and that is what most monthly subbers (MMO players) look for in determining if a game justifies that up front investment.

What is going to make or break Allods imo is if the astral ship piracy endgame is as good and fun as it appears from the initial videos.  The game is solid, nothing unique, with a good mix of PvE/PvP up to level cap but the twist on endgame is going to determine if it has legs.  Personally given the relative lack of anything else atm worth playing Allods couldn't come out a better time...we'll see how it does but its the first game (its better than RoM, anyone who argues otherwise hasn't played Allods in beta enough) where I actually see a f2p model being viable in NA in terms of looking at gaining significant market share.

If I'm not back in five minutes, just wait longer.

you have 3 offhand items in GA, as well as a boost bar that fills with a special ability attached.  Best part is the items you get, including weapons are linked to level. The game is very well balanced and a good level 5 is always able to take a much higher level.

People that compare a MMO to WoW need there heads examined, each game should be judged on its own merits.  Also how can you compare a free to play game with a game that you have to pay to use? you just can't.

Oh also people seem to forget that WoW has been around for 5 years or more, Allods has been around for alot less, improvements will come etc.

Well, I dont know about that. It is "mmo lite" in the fact that there is no grind and no huge timesink.... but that is very fine with me, considering that the customization, the "persistent online world" and the social aspect of MMOs are all present in global agenda.

It is kinda sad that gamers "expect" grind to be part of their MMO! You see tons of threads on here about how everyone hate the grind... but when we finally get one game without it, we complain that it is over too quick !

Really, I think GA is very nice. I know I will subscribe, I am very interested in agency vs agency combat. It has lots of potential, AvA will keep player interested not with GRIND, but with FUN PVP. And drama... ohhh lots of drama.

Allods has some interesting aspects to it, but combat is so slow I feel like I could grow my beard out before the mob dies.  Total boredom.  No thanks.

I have yet to try out Global Agenda, maybe I will give that a shot.  Thanks for the reviews.

I was just in one of the league lowbie zones, I think it's called Lightwood, was kinda stunned at how good it looks

Allods was made for grouping right after the tutorial. That is why the combat is slow if you solo. It has been confirmed by a developer over at massively.com. Can't access their site at the moment but i know its there.

I know, its strange that a MMORPG developer actually wants people to group up... lol.

Two things are infinite: the universe and human stupidity; and I'm not sure about the the universe.
