Hmm took me about 15 minutes to start making relish,no need for 3 hours.I found out i could go into combat mode and by some magical means i was still crafting while fighting,...LAME.

Was in my first combat mode within 15 minutes while harvesting nodes. So i got to witness the boring combat system. The movement in combat was very clunky, not smooth or realistic at all.

I got to see the wide open dead space from town to town while motoring around on my free ATV,within the first hour.

Geesh by time 3 hours were up,i was pretty much a hardcore player, there was VERY little left to learn from the game.I have no interest in PVP at all,I was not into spending hours moving through 6 different towns to craft another ATV.The game was wasting too much of my time, just trying to figure out how to craft fuel.

Then since there was literally nothing left to interest me,i figured scoot around on my ATV.I go to see 3 other towns that all had the exact same generic build as each other,i was turned off.By time a few hours were up ,i already had my entire inventory full[including my ATV inv] and could barely craft anything, kind of ridiculous, well i could craft relish lol.So i got off my ATV stood there for about 5 minutes and logged off.

I tried to play the game another 7 days ,but every time i was in the game, i wanted to logout more than play, not hard since there was nothing to interest me at all.Point is,on the very first day,i had seen more than enough of FE to form a very good opinion in the first 3 hours.

Imagine how many would have found it lame if they started on vehicles and instead of enjoying most of the game they need to stand still to craft something for 3/4 hours for one vehicle component, now that would indeed be LAME. Thankfully FE provides us with meaningfull things to do instead of watching the screen till recipy is finished.

Some find it boring, some find it great, I am among those who find it great, to each their own and nobody is right or wrong here.

So you noticed all the things you could have done while traveling?

Nice, funny how many people even in S2/S3 keep learning more new things, you managed to learn all this in 3 hours, amazing.....

So you didn't even learn new recipy's, new ability's, new skills/tradeskills, new what ever? funny you complain about your own lack of knowledge...

I don't see why ANYONE would enter a game that he or she felt really the need to log out, perhaps get some more sense and understand you can really log out and not play a game if a game does not suite you, no worries, not every game would suite everyone, just a shame you blame a game while all you showed was mainly lack of knownledge

Ah now I get it, this is one of those "bad reviews" OP mentioned, sorry for not seeing this LOL, sometimes I just miss the sarcasm on forums like this which you wizardy obviously showed, sorry really thought it was a serious reaction.....hehe

I really want to like this game.  But I can't find anything to do in the game except the horrible PvE.  Resource nodes are always in the same spot, unlike SWG where you had to search them out regularly.  Theres just nothing.  Crafting?  Crafting what?  Am I missing a hidden fun element of FE crafting?  Because it just seems as bad as most games.

IMO they should have made it like the original SWG (sandbox).  The way it is now, as far as I can tell, theres really nothing fun at all to do.  I like the atmosphere.  Theres just nothing to do but look at it and wish there was something to do in this world.

I beg you, anyone, please, list me some things I can do in this game.

If you don't like PVE, don't mention PVP and don't see the fun in tradeskills (and I find the tradeskill system in FE really fun in that I can be completely self sufficient from scaevnging and crafting, perfect for the setting!) Then I would suggest the game isn't for you.

Wondering how far you played? Did you get to S2 and start doing the faction quests and conflict towns? I have played since launch and am only level 22 and still love it. I find the PVE just as good as in any other game, at least from a questing point of view, and this isn't a raiding or instance driven game.

I log in and always have something to strive towards. Whether it is trying to get to craft my next vehicle, or finding resources to level up a tradeskill, raising my faction, playing in a conflict town, or just doing some quests. Plenty for me at least, if it's not for you maybe this just isn't your type of game.

I played OB, and quit for the same reasons I'm tempted to quit now. So I didn't get anywhere yet, because I don't see anywhere to get to. I'm not trying to dis the game, I just want to find a way to enjoy it.

My experience with PvP in MMOs is that it is never as good as RTS or FPS PVP. It often requires ebay and putting in more time than others, unlike a FPS game where once you know the map, its all about skill in playing, not how many years of skill 'training'. While I love PvP, I've come to accept MMOs just can't offer good PvP.

As for PvE being as good as other games, I must be missing something. Because all I see here is 'click mouse button until enemy stops moving'. And if quests are just 'go click mouse button until this mob stops moving', then I see no reason to bother hunting down the NPC or reading his text just to engage in that.

If it sounds like I'm setting the bar too high, maybe I am. But I like that idea of being a 'self sufficient' wanderer. And I'm going to give it some more time.

These keep me pretty busy :), some look like double's but wanted to show the full list but can;t expand the recipy list window to show all.

Thats the main reason I love the game. I make my own ammo, food, bandages, repair kits, meds, vehicles, gas for vehicles. Sure I could grind cash and buy them, but I love the fact I can do it my way if I want to. The only thing I tend not to craft is my weapons because I do a lot of faction quests and have the faction weapons and armor to get. You can make pretty much everything you need though.

For me they nailed the setting, and that is where I find my enjoyment.
