yes i put in for a refund 2 days ago.and they accepted yesterday.i just told them im not thrilled with the subscription model.the game isnt that bad but with all the games coming out in the early end of february it is really subpar.the subsription model is going to kill this game.5 bucks a month would have been the sweet spot.sadly they will see this and probly to late.

It's not bad, its just not worth the cost when you already own the game. (TF2)

The central hub may as well be a server select screen, it really serves no purpose other then to add a time-sink running between crafting and respecing areas. And leveling just adds to all the imbalances already associated with FPS's, so not only would one team have overall better players (stacking) but the characters are statistically 5x tougher then a new player.

So its an okay game just not fit with the competition?

Kinda like Champions Online.. although people who ended up quitting said they could get a good month out of the game (I ended up getting 2 or 3)

Just when you think you have all the answers, I change the questions.

I bought this game 2 weeks ago and have been playing it pretty much non-stop since, I now have 3 lvl 30 characters which I enjoy immensely my main being Tank spec assault (yes even in PVP) .

The first week i played was the only real time i was angry at the game, (recon were pretty much raping everything with the left mouse button) which was quickly fixed by the team at Hi-Rez (which has resulted in a glorious amount of noob tears). I tend to think most people who are QQing about this game are mostly mad that they cant do EVERYTHING in the beta, at least this is what every single dome's chat consists of. "WAAAAAAH ONLY 1 CITY QQQQQQ OMG PVP SUXORZ HARRD, omygod they added level caps to armor waaaaah hurrrrr refund refund!!!" pretty much sums it up.

That being said, I have never before participated in a beta where i have consistently seen DEV's online running tests involving the beta community themselves and not releasing some vaporware shell of a game until global agenda (thumbs up Hi-Rez). Every single day usually early, (assuming your within the level req's and are involved in bug submission and have proven to be a help, devs invite players to test and help them discover bugs. My agency has been active in many of these AVA tests thus far.

tl;dr: Beta is doing what beta's SHOULD DO , which is bug test not just let people "test" out your game then go to mmorpg and cry about how they are only able to do certain things.

So to those of you who are using mmorpg to see if this is the game for you, if you like tribes/tf2 style, teamwork based, conquerable area, third person shooters definately grab some buddies, get on vent and have fun. Its the most fun way to play.

in closing all of the people QQing out voice those who are having fun mostly because were having fun playing the game. Anyways, later all.

I requested a refund for the same reasons.  There just isn't enough there to justify the monthly sub.  It is basically a shooter version of Fury, and a sub didn't work out to well for that game either.

I agree that $5 would have been just about right.  I would have launched that game with one free month then required everyone to pay $5/month to continue playing.  Small enough fee that most people wouldn't have thought too much about it, and it would have continued to support work on the game.

I requested a refund from steam and got an email notice of refund within 48 hours.

Its not a bad game at all, but IMO not worth a monthly fee by any means. A shame since I would have kept the game if you didnt have to pay a fee for all the features.

Seems everyone wants to jump on the monthly sub bandwagon nowdays. Release a product that is actually worth the extra money and I dont mind paying. Paying for basically an unreal mod monthly when there are plenty to choose from without a fee is not what I am looking for.

I also got a refund on my pre-order. I had a lot of fun with the small matches but that only lasts for so long. I was really excited about the massive battles. But they turned out to be something other than what I expected. With the bidding for plots and battles only running at certain times for certain zones and the requirement to be in an agency, I just couldn't get into to it. There were too many stipulations to just let me into a massive battle.

I'd say my previous expectations of this game ruined it for me. Not a bad game though. I may end up getting it if the price drops though (But I will not pay the subscription unless the zone battles massively change).

Lol seems most people are getting refunds because of the monthly sub, but wtf? You don't have to do the sub, just play the TF2 style gameplay with levels? Am I missing something here, or do these people not realize 90% of the game is free after the initial $44?

I got a refund, but not because I didn't like the game or the subscription fee or anything like that, I just didn't have any time to play the beta between college and all sorts of other stuff and I don't see that changing any time soon.

They were pretty quick about it, took like 2 days to get my money back.

I was hoping for this game to be more like neocron

Yeah I don't get it either. It was all pretty clear to me exactly what the game was going to be. An fps game with classes and levels with a central hub to do the instances with friends. There's no sub unless you want to do AvA so what's the difference between buying this and any fps game? I don't consider this game an mmo but it's a fun fps game.

    1. no new community maps.  Just more subpar reskinned generic maps from hi rez when they feel like it... they need to hire real map designers.

    2.  Only the ability to play with 3 friends.

    3.  10 v 10 max.

    4.  No ability to modify server settings, aka custom modes, different respawns, tons of other mods...
