It was a damn fine game in general, and the closest thing to Twisted Metal Online that we are gonna get. AA also got the gathering game down right too. Need crafting materials? Run into some fences and blow up houses, then drive over the good stuff. Nothing handled destruction quite like it did, only problem about it was the balancing act; due in part to leveling + action game does not mix. Huge disparities between car types and level ranges, arena play was totally unfair at times.
Great game though, too bad it came up short of it's potential.

I would really like to play SWG Pre-CU, NGE just to see what all the fuss was about.
It was like EQ-style combat, and IMO the new FPS style worked ok enough when it came.
~but the real bullets were the changing of resource qualities, repeated armor revamps, and most of all... changing the class structure. Everyone who really felt hurt will tell you it's because they could no longer be a mix of specialties on what was a very unique skill setup using traditional XP. Nowadays, you are just a lvl 90 Smugler - not a smuggler/pistoleer/TKA (which was awesome imo). I will not even get into how they allowed anyone to be Jedi after having it be a struggle to attain and maintain it for years. I never even went Jedi during my whole stint because it was a full lifestyle change in the game, and that alone brought something amazing to the table.

Shadowbane. I know their working on an emulator right now but its not gonna be the same. That was the finest mmorpg ever made. I know it had some shortcomings as far as bugs and glitches but that game was what an mmorpg should be. If ubisoft had any common sense they would bring it back to life.
I am honestly surprised so many people said Tabula Rasa as the game they'd resurrect. I don't know why, I just never expected the following here to be that big of a voice. Somebody email Garriott this thread!
TR was/is my favorite game of all time. I wasn't just a fanboy, I breathed info on this game, bought the CE, and enjoyed every minute of it all until it got shut down. What really impressed me, though, is that even though the team knew of the eminent termination of the game after the incident with RG, they still pumped out updates like nobody's business. This game will always be on my top three MMO list.

That seems like a game I would enjoy. I could actually feel the nostalgia as I read your post. Nice read, and thanks for responding.
i think yer all saying tabula rasa cuz there was a hot chick on the cover with space goggles on her forehead. srsly, do any of you actually how lame the gameplay was?
It was my first mmorpg. Too bad these days are gone
The best RvR system I have ever seen, the most amazing political map, building and defending forts was perfect... never seen a better system in any other mmorpg.
Awesome mounts: horses, dodos, griffons and flying dragons (no flight limit)
Huge and beautiful open world (PvP) to explore.
All this was flawless. The rest wasnt
Thats why I would love to see Dark and Light 2 with class balance, more quests, without bugs.
Oh YES! I'd dearly love to see that game come back and be done right this time. I leveled to cap in sniper and spy. But then there was damn little to do.
Asherons Call 2, pre cu SWG, Phantasy Star Online for the Dreamcast (come to think of it resurrect the Dreamcast system, many good memories). I never got into Tabula Rasa, it bored me to tears.
AC2!
But i also agree on phantasy star online i still have my dreamcast with character i played live on PSO server hehe.
Revive dreamcast man that would be awesome i know in japan they made a braodband adapter for dreamcast back then.
Seganet was very good btw with ping and all.
Games played:AC1-Darktide'99-2000-AC2-Darktide/dawnsong2003-2005,Lineage2-2005-2006 and now Darkfall-2009..... In between WoW few months AoC few months and some f2p also all very short few weeks.
AC2 was pretty fun, but I probably had the most fun in closed beta. I had some fun for awhile after, but I think Microsoft just didn't keep up with the hype. So many people went back to the first one, which is still up and kicking I'd love to play it again with the same amount of people though.
I would love for Turbine to bring this game back online. I would reactivate my acct in a heart beat. I have a lot of fond memories of this game. Met tons of cool ppl too.
I know it's not dead, but it's got both feet in it's coffin. I would just love to see another developer to take it of SOE's hands and give it some TLC.

Sadly, one foot in the grave and the other on a banana peel. SOE put the final nail in the coffin by further cutting their staff and resources. Its too bad. It has many of the elements of a great game, but it was totally bungled from the start.

Tabula Rasa is welcome, when the game was getting better they killed it...
"you are like the world revenge on sarcasm, you know that?"
One of those great lines from The Secret World
Aye. I would like that and Planetside to rise up once again.
Well, Planetside 2 is in development, and Planetside is still running - although supposedly it has tons of people running around with hacks in it.
Shadowbane, or an updated version of faces of mankind
To the above poster, face of mankind just had a relaunch
I personally would like asheron's call 2 and tabula rasa to be res'd, hear so many great things about them and all the potential they had.
Auto Assault.

Wish
Never played it but wish i did.
Game i played?
Shadowbane or DnL done right. most likely (would rather neither of these games were point and click movement however)
SWG pre-NGE. Either pre-NGE version.
Star Wars Galaxies Pre-CU.
Hell . . . even Pre-NGE
I would die a happy man either way

AC2, Only played the beta and even then Didn't have a PC that could run it very well.
Is this thread about PAID Services?
SWG:Pre-CU Emulator is almost done and can be played.
Earth and Beyond Emulator is currently in Stress Test 4 (Playable).
