Oh come on, you know that ain't true. People spend tons of money in item shops in F2P games, that's why so many F2P games get released. Sure, a minority of players doesn't spend anything on the game, but a lot of people spend far more on a F2P game per month then they would on a P2P game.
But it is not a requirement, and paying monthly is a requirement for many MMORPGs.
If they made you purchase from the cash shop, then you may have an arguement.

The combat is smooth, cool looking and very similiar to WoW. It is too slow because you are too lazy to keep your character upgraded with talent point, stat points and gear. Listen, you and your crew have been playing WoW too long which is so easy mode that you do not even need to go out of your way to upgrade gear & talent points anymore to easily 3 shot mobs of the same level. Allods is different in that way but when you actually put in the absolutely minimal effort in your character, the combat goes fast.
I am summoner lvl 9 and my fights last 10 secs and never lasted more than 30 secs. I am sorry, but you simply do not know what you are doing. The amount of complaints about Allods' slow combat just makes me realize how many players have been so dumbed down by WoW.
We all simply have to understand that the OP and the friends he mentiones in the follow post cannot live without their lvl80 T20.5 equipment, where they can attack a bunch of lvl80 non elite mobs and pwn those in a matter of seconds. If the fight takes longer than that they judge it as crap. I have a german saying for you: Go to where the pepper is growing ... and leave Allods to the true Elite who actually read the quest description and are in it for story-plot, or are looking for a change.
btw my 17 Psionist is very powerful. That canalized spell with cooldown does very much damage in german cbt3, aswell as the shock attack(s). I dont even take the time for psy-contact at match start.
The Scout will have a stealth cd of 10 minutes with a 1 minute duration and uses bow/crossbow. How ya like that? But I rather dont play non-magic classes with no heals, just testing.
I am not surprised the OP dont mentions Priests. He dont play a clothie. Well surprise surprise: Priests will carry plate(@30)+shield(@start)+heal(@8? ). Priest that specialize in fanatism actually are able to tank imo. Why they dont call them retribution-pala I dunno.

This is true. I have a tank built warrior, and fights still don't last that long for me. I usually kill mobs with (main attack, secondary attack, main attack, rage based skill.) and they are usually dead after that. If they aren't, then usually another main will kill them. Seldom do I need to repeat the process on any trash mobs.
got a mage and a paladine...both lvled solo easy and smooth
Since CB started, I got a mage and he can kill fast when needed. Seems like Allods put in the challenge back into simple PvE by making you keep your character up to date.
i dont think so or maybe you are right...but i have 4 chars total min lvl 10 just to try them since the 1rst beta and i got them to lvl 10 really fast and easy, after that lvl you got better eq, better skills and if you fix your attributes right thinks are gonna keep going smooth

What are you talking about? You earlier confirmed that you would not handle the early leveling in the game because it was too hard to keep your character up to date. Noone said that this game will take on WoW, but many of us just find it to be a cooler and more enjoyable MMO. You don't like it? Great, go play WoW, it will fit fulfill your simplistic needs.

When I first started the game, I thought the graphics looked pretty cool. When I got up to level 5 and out of the starter zone I started to feel lost. After a couple of levels I felt like this game wasn't for me. It wasn't till around level 10 when I started to appreciate more of the game. The game becomes alot more fun when you get use to how things work. I've spent my time and leveled every class to level 11 and they are all fun in their own way. So far my favorite class is the pally. I see alot of people saying thier dps sucks and they cant kill anything. Personaly ive set most of my stats for tanking and i can still kill things in 2-4 hits. All i can say is give it a shot past 10 and read the tooltips. Learn how to play your character and try different stats and skills. Also if your trying to kill a mob 1-2 levels past yours, its going to take awhile cause this game is not on easy mode. Sure there are a few things i would like to change in the game, but being F2p game, I can't complain.
When this game launches I will be looking for a mature guild. So send me a message if anyone is recruiting on Empire side.

This game will not kill WoW, but it might make a bleep on its radar. Secondly, it has been stated that the starter levels are quite dull like slow killing and such but I've read from beta testers posts that it gets much faster as you progress. Your going to have to level up a bit more before you can state such an opinion like that IMO. I haven't been testing the game out myself, but from what i read it seems like this game could very well set an example of what the F2P games should go for. (also I have a beta account, its just that drive in me to be wary of F2P MMOs that makes me not really want to test it either..lol ). Just my thoughts.

If you haven't noticed even on MMORPG.com of all places the "Haters" are the few here. Allods so far is being well received by most. I mean it's had a presence on the top voted games for a long while, this isn't because of a few fans.

1. I don't recall anyone saying it will replace WoW. I don't think anyone with half a brain has the guts to say that about any game, especially a FTP game.

Yea you all have your opinions and thats ok. Guys, i am member of an european mmoprg guild, we are togheter since almost 6 years. Meanwhile 7 more of my guild received the Beta activation and tried the game. All 7 left after a few hours trying to get into this game with the same reasons and problems i have with Allods. Combat sucks and is to slow. Quests are all boring and feel as usual. The only good thing was the introduction until Level 4.....
i am not sure what some guys are trying to do here, but it looks like the Russians payed some people to defend their crap game on forums like this. How can you dare to compare this product with WoW ? If you guys truly believe your own words then you need a doctor..........

The purpose of a CBT is to find issues like this. You just can't always expect to have it fixed when you want it, as it might be something more serious, like exploiting *cough*. Anyways, the CBT is fun and enjoy it for what it is.

And your character doesn't really start to shine until 10-12 ish, when you start to define yourself with talents, and pick up a few ruby skills. Oh, and get a rare(blue) rep weapon and armor if ya can, it helps. I mow stuff down with my lvl 10+ toons.
And it's all world PvP, no instanced battlegrounds. Hope that never changes.

Yeah, I pretty much agree with you. It's freaking Closed Beta man, they're trying to fix it, but it takes some time. Especially since they have to have the game translated by the same developers (or so I believe) who are doing the russian version.
It sucks you can't level past 20, but this is a closed beta. Deal with it. I can guarantee there's no way that they will allow this to happen in Open beta.
