just a few months ago i started playing {a Link To The Past} again for the Super NES..so i would definitely have to try a Zelda MMO if one ever came out...
What races would be on Ganon's side if Hyrule gets all the known ones? Are people going to pilot a poe, skeleton or armor suit? Imo, Zelda would have to take the FFXI/VI approach to PvP; disguising it as something else.

1)Nintendo sucks at online service. The wii has a very bad online system. If Nintendo is going to make a Zelda MMO, they are going to release it on the wii. I don't think it can work properly on this system.
2) Zelda isn't a online game (that's my opinion.). The way you play twilight princess, spirits tracks or every other zelda game is not designed for online play.
3) Zelda isn't a RPG. It has some RPG elements, but it's not an RPG. What you will get is a MMORPG like every other with Link.
I don't think Nintendo is going to make one and if they are I think I'm not going to play it. Unless they preform a miracle

SNES THE GOD OF ALL SYSTEMS. NO ONE HAS EVEN COME CLOSE TO THE SNES CONTROLLER. PS Xbox Cube etc... are all garbage compared to SNES controller.
I think #3 deserves commenting on though, because there are staples that can easily crossover or be adapted. Zelda2 did a far more traditional XP scheme to raise health/magic/attack, and that could tie into an MMO version where level ups grant you bomb slots, quarter hearts and a bigger magic bar, etc. There really is a lot of fruit to work with if your willing to warp traditions to suit the genre.
Also, seeing how typically epic the musical scores are, I could only hope for sweet background music and perhaps even a music system like LotRO w/ ocarinas and lutes... that can change the weather/time.

Now Playing: Skyrim, Wurm Online, Tropico 4 Waiting On: GW2, TSW, Archeage, The Rapture
I'd love to see something based in the zelda world online. I always thought it would make an exceptional RTS as well. I also think the combat for a zelda online game would be really exciting and refreshing for both PvE and PvP. Unfortunately the wii wouldn't handle it very well... and no nintendo game will launch on a different system or PC unless nintendo goes the route of Sega... and judging by the popularity of the wii, I don't see that happening anytime soon.
A.) If you can't copy/paste the relevant info, then I don't care to search for it. B.) If you can't even get a link to work, then I definitely don't care to search for it.
I figured that you weren't worth much more than a broken link anways.
I don't think this could work, just because after Majora's Mask they ruined the game... I don't want them to open a Zelda MMO just to ruin it with how Zelda currently is.
End of story
Make me Ocarina of Time 2 for the Nintendo 64, I'd be sold, definitely would pay a good hundy
