I don´t have a credit card and don´t intend to get one, so I have no other option then the prepaid gamecards.
The problem is not that I don´t want to buy a gamecard. The problem is that they´re not available. If they had been available at launch I would have bought at least one even if it were not required to create an account. But because of this rather unthoughtfull decision I have to wait for more then 2 weeks before I can play a game for which I have already paid.

And on top of that, the first month is free, but if you don't have a CC you have to pay 2 months in advance before you get the free one. On a CC you can cancell the account before your second month starts. Gamecards on the other hand are not refundable.
This does not apply to me as I have already decided to play this game for quite some time. But I can imagine it's not really an attractive proposition for someone who does not know if he wants to continue after the first month.
