I understand I should be posting this in the Guild section, but no one has posted in that forum for the past twelve days.

Hello, and welcome.
<A Forgotten Challenge>
We are going to be raiding Pre-BC Horde content.
----------------------------------------------------------
Restrictions
- No Paladins.
- No Glyphs/Dual Spec.
- No talents beyond Pre-BC talents.
- BoA gear/Dungeon gear is for leveling ONLY.
- No going past 300 in any tradeskill.
- No inscription or jewelcrafting.
- No gear from BC or WotLK.
- No Death Knights.
This list may expand as we figure out other things that take away from the Vanilla experience.

We do not care if you:
- Buy a flying mount
- Have characters above level 60.
- Hate us.
This list may also expand.

You MUST:
- Cut off your experience gain at level 60.

We take all ages, all races and either gender, if you know how to play, we'll take you.
If you're learning, we'll teach you.
Currently we are looking for people to sign our charter, if you'd like to sign our charter please make, or get on, a character on Galakrond and whisper one of the following people:

I also stop playing WoW a few years ago but this sounds very interesting and i wouldn't mind to reactive my account for this , let me know how this turns out once you get some good amount of people , i will be chking this post .
Not going to work, since alot of mechanics changed in the 10-60 talents and spells.
Also what server you on?
We know that we cannot get the exact feeling as old, but we're getting as close to it as we can.

When are you looking at starting. I would be willing to reactivate for this but would not have a lvl 60 on your server.

How will this work. It wont take long to level to 61+ with raiding...
Just going to make a new character and get it to 60 each time?
Blizzard really needs to start a Vanilla server. I am 100% certain that it will fill up and bring people back. Everyone else who doesn't care about Vanilla wow doesn't have to. They can stay away! The server need not bother them.

Oh nice. Yeah, I stopped playing pre-wotlk, so there is a lot I do not know.
If I was still playing I would be up for this.
Will come back if Blizz ever decides to make a Vanilla server.

No need now, if you really have a passion for Vanilla you'll find a guild that does it, which is rare.

I want true Vanilla. No one above 60. I want the good old Hillsbrad pvp gankfests (nostalgia much).
Right now you can stop at 60, but there will still be other out there higher than you so world pvp is out.
But I would still like this. Before BC my guild finally had MC, Onixya and Zul'Gurub on farm status and we were doing really well with AQ20 and just starting BWL... Then along comes BC and ruins it all
You guys on US servers? I'm from EU and I find this idea epic! how many people you guys got?

Played: WoW, CoX, SWG, LotRO, EVE, AoC, VG, CO, Ryzom, DF, WAR
Tried: Lineage2, Dofus, EQ2, CoS, FE, UO, Wurm, Wakfu
Future: The Repopulation, ArcheAge, Black Desert, EQN

They've already said several times they had no intention of opening a 'vanilla' type server. (well, not like they never go back on their word but still)
I doubt it'll happen. If they even have a 'vanilla' state version lying around, putting it up is just going to invite complaints about issues specific to the vanilla server, complaints which, in my opinion, should never be listened to, which is going to lead to grumpiness and annoyance from those people.
Sure, there's people who will accept it for what it is, but there's also the ones who won't. There's also the completely different handling of that one particular server at maintenance, for tech support, GM's etc etc.
No, I wouldn't count on it ever happening.
Blizzard even said there would never be:
pve -> pvp transfers
faction changes
race changes
etc...
