Ok.. enough of WoW its out in the stores now buy it.. And now forget it.. Guildwars is going to take the world with storm.. maybe just as much as WoW does?.. :P.. Guildwars just own EVERY MMORPG i EVER TRYED! PVP owns and u dont have to spend 18 hours of ur day to get to lvl 100!! PvE is just as cool! AND NOW U COULD ACCTULY BE A HERO IN THE STORY OF THE GAME! WOOHOO! LONG LIVE THE REVOLUTION!

GW is so OVERHYPED at this point that it's sickening.
The game will do fine I'm sure but it's doubtful it will come near WoW in success. Please stop preaching the glories of a game as though you could see the future. People like you are raising people's expectations to the point that they're likely to be disappointed with the final product.

guild wars is only good for the extreme pvpers. thats it and how many games have had to change that where just for pvp???? cause theres not enough pvpers to support a game only to support one game. well there might be but pvpers are just as picky for interface and fun as other mmo's. very few reviews have your same opinion. i played the open beta weekend and wasnt impressed same old same old. as of right now the only game im playing is a free shard of UO so me personally im tired of most mmos out there right now.
Then go play. RTS? or a FPS? or maybe just a RPG..
I just think guildwars in something away from the ordinary, and i really think of it like a new vision a new way to make mmorpgs.. and makes new ideas for the mmorpg era to come alive again.i think GW has the potential to go further with this and create something more!

ox is that to me??? if it is im not into twitch games. also stated im on a free server for UO. and im happy you like the game but as i said i see the same old stuff just rehashed. have fun and play GW im glade its a game for you. but as i also pointed out i know there been atempts at a pure pvp games before and look at how bad they are or changed or just making they keep it open line barely.

"Guild Wars" will come out, be totally cool as hell, everyone and their brother will love it.
Then within say three or six months tops, it will be a HUGE "Diablo battle.net" game totally infested with hackers, cheaters, dupers, and people getting knocked off line coming back dead.. etc etc etc.
With no monthly fundage coming in to keep all the servers up and secure... what else would one expect? But Hey, by that time, the makers of "Guild Wars" will have already made a ton of cash, and be laughing all way to the bank, not giving a rats ass about all the legitimate complaints that will over-fill their forums.
That's my prediction. Let's wait and see.

yes i know thats why i said have fun playing the game geez! im not flaming you or the game so dont be rude back im stating facts. i hope it does well just as i wish all games too but fact is if they dont go to a larger crowd it will fail plain and simple.

It's topics like these that tarnish Guild Wars' reputation. No wonder so many people hate it, with stupid topics like these. It just gets sickening hearing the same god damn crap "Guild Wars is going to change the face of gaming" "Guild Wars has no monthly fee, it rocks WoW and (insert MMORPG here)!" "Guild Wars ownz!!!111". Seriously, get some originality going, and stop comparing GW to WoW or any other MMORPG, BECAUSE IT ISN'T ONE. Not to say it isn't a great game, I love it, but I hate all these comparisons and pointless topics like these.
Not to mention the Overhyping like other people said in this topic. Lots of people are getting dissapointed because of the Overhype because of topics like these. It really angers me. I wish we could go back to before E34E announcement, where no one knew about GW. Those were the days. We always used to consider GW the next sleeper hit back then. Now there's no way you can consider this game a sleeper anymore.

derfel people complain about a free mmo play a UO free shard or runescape. still not the best but fun. also one month of a mmo is less than going to one movie a month so unless no one does anything outside the house and only makes the exact amount to pay bills and thats it then they can say that. but if they buy a coffee from starbucks buy smokes anything of that nature then they can afford it.
if your in school then around 95% of the kids get some sort of money from parents. at least everyone i knew did and my family was dirt poor.
the reason i say this is that running servers bandwidth crews all take money to run and stuff so everyone one wanting something free it always turns out bad. UO free shards come and go all the time hence frees not good and i have played on some excellent shard that have gone by by.
i find it unfair to the customers that want to play this game that its going to go to crap as soon as it goes live. when people would even pay 5 a month just to help keep it good and running.
Thats the good part about hackers in guildwars, The zones are instanced! I hate it when people try to make up excuses to put down a game. This has NOTHING to do with the creators of except for the host. You cannot judge it this early unless you are a moron. Dont get me wrong I play and love all the others, everyone has their own opinion. Also, there is NO way to get rid of hackers, there will always be one somehere, some point in time.
GW isn't over-hyped. It can't be because nobody's even seen the whole game yet. If there's ever been an overhyped game it was WoW. 2 months in and the first max level characters already bored and looking for something to do? Huh?
GW will start with a nice initial release, and grow in popularity over time. They will (unlike Blizz) add regular free content. They will close off hacks on the fly. The first expansion chapter will release around Christmas, it will be just as big (in content) as the original, and it will sell about twice the copies that the initial release did. This time next year, Guild Wars will rule, and Blizz will just be wrapping up Beta testing of Battlegrounds.
