Sorry to ask but for some reason I don't have access to the Beta Forums and I'm having trouble creating my first character. I go through all the steps but it won't let me "save" or "start game". Any help would be appreciated.

I don't think they had it on at night yesterday either, not really sure what's going on but the way things are going it doesn't seem good for MO.
Well it's been 5 hours and now I can't even log in. Says "server offline or full". Really hoping they can get their act together cause this looks like it could be good.

Yes and if you had read my first post you would have read that I got all the way through CC but couldn't enter game or save my character. I was wondering why now I can't even log in.

Cuz they added the new "Servers Offline or Full" feature. BTW, you have to login to get the message.

Well servers are still offline, and you can't log into a game if they are.
I was surprised to know that they just leave the servers on and hope for the best until they come back into the office in the morning to restart it.
They have a login server and then the server cluster for the game it self. If just the game server is off line, you can get into the login server, and create a toon, but not save (as the toon is actually saved onto the game server) but if the server cap is reached, or the login server is down, then you cant even log in. Also, on occasion, the game server is 'down' but you can actually enter the game... there are just no NPC's and you cant use any skills....

Having played DF for awhile I have a higher tolerance for Dev incompetence than most! Still thinking happy thoughts!

That's what my problem earlier was.
But that doesn't reflect very well on SV or their operations though.

Ah no, that wasn't a glitch. MO has a different login server and a different world server, so if login server is online you can make a character and what not but you won't be able to enter the game if the world server is offline which is the case right now. Most games generally don't even let you start the game by giving you an error from the patcher but here it seems they keep login servers online for some reason.
Also, the devs usually get to work between 12:00 and 1:00 AM PST (8:00 and 9:00 sweden time), so another hour or two and they should get restarted. Unless they patch today. Then I'll have to say server will be ready Soon(TM)
Meh that's 2-3 AM CST. I'm not THAT excited to play LOL!
