Funcom Director of Communications Erling Ellingsen has tweeted a bit of a tease: Funcom will be revealing in-game footage of The Secret World (in full color!) at this year's Game Developers Conference.

Yes, we WILL be showing full color, in-game footage around GDC. But I won't say exactly what shape and form it will be. ;-) #TSW

Good news to hear.
Their game concept is unique. Take all the myths and legends of the world and roll them up into a MMO.
We know they have zombies. What is next? Count Dracula? Cthulhu? The idea is very nice.
Now if they can just deliver on the gameplay as their graphic engine is already known (AoC Engine).
MMOs Played: I can no longer list them all in the 500 character limit.

Kinda am curious about The Secret world ever since 2007/08, would have liked it more to see some actualy screenshot or game art of the game as we know that picture alone might grab attention of from the game. Hope not of course, but hey we on MMORPG.com...........yes..yes it was a tweet from Erling himself....but still.......

It mildly disheartens me to see that EE is handling PR for TSW, though it doesn't surprise me.
Frankly, I do not have alot of faith in him after the myriad of mishaps that took place in AoC, while he attempted to gloss over them and paint the game in an entirely positive light so as to not detract from the sub base. Sure, month and months down the road he finally decided to cut through the hyperbole and rhetoric, but it took far too long imo.
I am sincerely hoping he learned from his past mistakes and takes a more honest approach with TSW.
In the end, only time will tell, and actions will speak much louder than words.

Oh man, I was laughing something fierce when I saw that THIS GUY was the one doing this announcement for Funcom.
I've never seen a game dude get more nerdrage hate than him. Which is sad, cause he seems alright to me. Not his fault that AoC wasn't ready for launch and he was forced to talk good about it. All game companies do that, he's just the one that got caught doing it.
For the love of the gaming gods, do not screw this up Funcom! Looking forward to seeing what is in store for us! Brace tight everyone!

GDC is not open to the public to my knowledge so yes it will be to journalists.

I always thought you could attend GDC. Here's the registration for people wanting to go. It is rather expensive but it is also massive. I'm eagerly awaiting to see what the new IPhone stage will have. Hopefully some new announcements on OS4.0 and new app's.

as someone who wants TSW to succeed i can only say that being skeptical is good for the game and the company behind it.
lol!we ll get 6 month to a year of teaser like this before the game is out lol!dont get bent out of shape over this.you would rater they release the game tomorrow morning and have a flop!waiting is the hard part for a very good mmo.
if they use the coutless techno avail out there there is no reason for lag.hell use onlive if your a noob devlopper
