Can someone teach me the ropes?

Can someone teach me the ropes for PVP on here? With the free transfer I had from the server merge (I was on ironspine) I transfered over to Tyranny looking for some PVP. Im terrible at it. Im using to pressing 1 2 and 3 to use my weapon and clicking my combos. Apparently that wont work as I cant strafe around my target. Making it so I cant hit him. Im bad at pvp on this and it seems it will make the game extremely more fun than the boring PVE content.

    I take it you're melee, my advice is to practice what you want to learn to do on mobs, until you have it down. As with anything else it will just take some practice, run PVP scenarios, duel people etc. The best strategy is the one you're comfortable with.

    You have to get used to your combos and their keybindings. You shouldnt search for their place. Clicking is usually a no no. i usually use the buttons on the mouse and shift alot. If your mouse is like mine you'll have three buttons on the scroll wheel (up-left-right). Thats 3 buttons you can use for combos, if you are used to shift button keybinding that opens space for 3 more combos, which is about enough. There is also a side button for thumb use which i use for some instant-very short duration spell.

    Practice alot, learn circle strafing, moving backwards sometimes botch others circle strafe, forcing them to run towards you. Make sure your combos land.

    also check yg/ forums for builds, different situations (duel, group, siege etc) usually have different builds.

    I need more vespene gas.

    Hm.. Im extremely terrible at this lol. the pvp is so much more exciting than pve but pvp is confusing i have a hard time getting to the keybinds. Maybe I need to rebind them to a easy position.

     

     

    Its a big reach to hit my 4 5 6 7 8 9 keys while moving and hitting 1 2 3 to attack.

    Just remap 6-0 to r-f-z-c-v and the 12th button (once there) to x

    Trial and error. Keep plugging at it. Of course it takes patience but I've found it the most rewarding method.

    I just don't have the patience for that in PVP. Best of luck to you.
