Title says it. This is by far one of the smoothest mmos that I have played, as well as FUN. This game brings a phenomenal new aspect to the FPS world as well as the mmo world. I was very , very very skeptical at first and almost didn't even want to purchase it just because of how i have been burned in the past by many, many other games. Something said about this though, even if you don't pay the sub, the free part of the game is awesome too. Hi rez gets a 9.8 out of 10 from me, only thing that it lacks is a tad smoother tutorial, and the fact that you can't turn the lady speaking off. ( lol ) . Other then that the support is 100% , updates constantly , patching only takes 5 - 10 minutes. Up play and value is amazing. I'm sort of speechless to be honest on how well this game has been put together. Also though keep in mind this is an mmo.. FPS. So there is no "world" or anything like that, it remindsm e a lot of TF2, planetside, Tribes and halo all smushed together with a hint of the RPG thrown into it with stats, talent trees, abilities, gear and upgrades.
I think this game is going places and has been a great idea that Hi-rez has brought to the table. I say we run with it.

I was a skeptic even after I bought and Installed it.
I'm not much of a PvP'er for many reasons. Gear playing such a major part in 99% of them being one. I thought I would enjoy GB on the PvE parts instead. I had only tried a couple of PvE missions with a Medic and I thought hmmm, this is boring!! I want my money back. But then I gave PvP a try and I gotta tell you. I haven't had this much fun in years. I got two real life friends to buy it as well and we are all pretty much addicted at this point. And that's coming from somebody who would rather play on a PvE server in a MMO
I'm out of my MMO slump and finally having some fun again. I can't believe how polished it is either. Having said that they need to do some class tweakings. The Engineer is waaay too powerful right now. Other than that It's great and all without spending a dime on a subscription
If you have a Geforce series 7 card I would consider an upgrade as one of the repeat missions has a 50/50 percent chance of becoming a black void. It seems to happen with all series 7 cards regardless of driver.

I agree with the OP. I dont have the subscription part of the game yet but i have been having a blast with the PVE and PVP. I cant say enough good things about this game. I am sure to remain addicted for many months to come, and i will more than likely become a subscriber.
The only problem I can think of with the game is that I may loose my job due to sleep deprivation.

I bought the game yesterday after work and i must say that this game is awesome! It was long time ago that i truly felt this pleased with a new mmo.
Although i think this game is for shooter fans (like me). That ain´t a bad thing though=)

Undoubtably a great game, but i wouldn't go calling it an MMO, 10 vs 10 isn't an MMO.
It's more like a graphical version of "The All Seeing Eye" (every FPS player knows this)
So is it like CoD4 mw2 and Battlefield?

FPS makes it an automatic no go to me but glad some people are enjoying it.
Absolutely agree with the OP - a fantastic game...
I don't plan to sub (I usually only sub one game at a time) and honestly I didn't really fall in love with the AVA Part...
The PVP is amazing though - a ton of fun... that's just what this game offers.... fun.
No - it doesn't have a ton of variety, it doesn't have an open world... but FUN is what it offers plenty of..... Very happy I purchased this game and even if I don't sub it's something Ill jump on and play whenever I get the urge.
What I REALLY like is - a match lasts no more than 15 minutes.... so - since I've been working a lot lately - Im tired by the time I get home and honestly don't want to be on the computer (since I do that at my job too)
Long story short - I can jump on - play 2-3 matches in a half hour and have a really good time. Leveling is sort of a side effect of the game.... since you can still contribute, even at level 5 (although - a lvl 30 player DOES have an advantage due to the skill points) but you can still collect your frags/hold the points, etc
Very well done game - I'd give it an 8/10 personally.... not enough to get me subbed but as a multiplayer FPS - one of the best I've every played

It has 0 MMO if you don't count AvA sure.
But the AvA is a persistant online environment, even if it's a bunch of matchmaking instances stringed together. The line between MMO and non-MMO is blurring, my friends.

Its 3rd person (thankfully - for whatever reason 1st person makes me ill)

i was so excited about this game, until i found out theres no TDM....now idk if i even want it anymore. i like capture the flag, but im guessing it'll be recons running back and forth from ur flag to theres.
Im not even sure what you just said... :X but - recons would get destroyed in the scenario you posted.... The Capture the flag is used via a robot that you have to carry to your opponents base.... A recon can't stealth using that - he would get mangled
First off to fix the whole Recon and CTF they made it capture the mech. Where you have to jump into a mech and take it to the other side. So it doesn't matter what class you are, everyone is the same when they jump into the mech.
Secondly, anyone else think the game is slowly getting dry? My assault is lvl 22 and the matches are fun but AvA is the samething as random matches. I am hoping I am missing something here. Its a great game but I don't feel like I should pay a sub to do the same stuff over and over.
