Korean developer JoyImpact's answer to Realm vs Realm-focused games like WAR, Aika is an upcoming free to play 3D fantasy MMORPG. The focus of the game is in its massive realm combat, but there are other notable features as well. Your character starts out as a child, and through training and experience, grows up into an adult over time with certain skills.

There will be six classes, with some determined by gender. Nation battles plan to support 1,000 players on each of the two sides in massive siege combat. Aside from RvR PvP, there are quests, a crafting system, and more.

Eventually, the possibility comes to raise what are being called "Daughters". The Daughter system is a pet mechanic where the pets come in the form of little girls. Like your player characters, these Daughters will grow up with training, and each one promises to be unique depending on various factors, including how close you are with her. They will converse with you and this, among other outcomes, will impact the effects your pet will bestow upon you. The Daughter will also learn new skills as she grows that can aid you in battle.

Aika also promises its sweeping graphics and battle system will all come in a small 300MB download. The game is set for a free to play model, with the usual item shop.

I read the first and last word of the overview and closed the page..

For real.. how many version of Lineage 2 can people copy?

I start to think i can make my own MMORPG by myself quick and easy... They seem to multiply everyday! Wonder what they are going to copy next and then make more and more of it.

Mortal Online is my last MMO i am going to hunt for. I'm tired of all these games making the same thing again and again. I want something new and exciting.

    Shh! I'm gangstering!

mm epic fight ?1000 vs 1000 men are they planning to use microsoft donnybrooks in this game

this game might surpirse a lot of nay sayer.

    if they make 2 choice

those fight are not server or battlegroup wide but global whatever your langage

if they make this happen this game could be very big the main limiting factor right now in most mmo is the fact that american player cant fight say russian player british ,chinese ,korean

like in wintergrasp you will never see korean there unless he go an american copy of wow

but if aika 1k vs 1k battle are instanced planetary first come first serve

men can you imagine koran chinese american french fighting against other player from various spot in the world

now this game could be epic since last i checked only one game do that

and it was guild wars pvp

you would go in a fight you might fight chinese or you might fight british etc

lets face it planetary instance is the futur of game

i dont care to be on a waiting list in order to get in those fight gees

second a nice story flowing not the one part of story per 10 level that take 30 month to go trought those 10 level to see the other part of the story

Might want to avoid that in the future.  Might learn something, and see more of the world.  No, I don't even mean MMORPG.

Yes it is a grinding game, BUT it hasn't focused on grinding. This game only has 30 lvls - if they would have wanted to make grinding the main part of the game there would have been much more levels. On lvl 30 you only do mass PvP afaik.

There are quests for lvl1-30 and then there's pvp. A real grinding game would have much more lvls.

I was interested in this game for a long time but to be completely honest, free to play and item mall sounds quite scary for me. Knowing the fact that the game will be PvP based, item mall most likely will destroy the balance, and those who spend the biggest amount of money in it, will completely control game. That's my only concern, Anyway, we should wait and see.

...  was about to post what the first post here says  ...

Why the hell pretty much all games coming from East look like Lineage 2?!?!   . ...   is it that hard to create something new? (well - I know it's all about the money, but sigh ... )

And NO - I'm not judging the game contents (I know nowthing about Aika or bunch of other games), I'll trust you all, that they are different, and addictive   ....  just the fact that after I've tried a few betas, and trials - I'm surprised (and saddened) about how they all LOOK the same (not Bad  .. just the same).

Okay, it has to be said, you just sound like a graphics whore

Actually, that didn't have to be said at all. It sounds like he's commenting on the art style and not just the quality, as he says: "they all LOOK the same (not BAD, just the same). Variety is nice.
