Well not that much, just a heads up to the peps who got sick of Aion because of the grind as of patch 1.5.1.9(i think its correct) Energy of Repose is a buff available for players level 20+. In order to receive the buff, you must rest or log out of the game for a period of time. The percentage you have upon logging in is based off of how long you rested.Level 20+44 -- 40% Level 45+ -- 30%
And with the veterans rewards you get 4 lodas amulets with 20% xp boost per month these last an hour with an eight hour cooldown on each one and double xp weekends, and the good news is they all stack for faster leveling but dont worry its not becoming easy mode.

It's kinda sad that NCsoft "fixes" the grind by giving you buffs and not by adding more interesting content. They'd have to make some substantial changes to Aion to get me to come back to it.
i dont think you mean content as there is good content but if you mean the level progression curve from 1 to level cap then yea it is a bit messed up but other games fixed this and iam sure aion will too and to answer your last question they are adding new stuff/content just check out the new vision trailer but be warned its not all coming in a big patch but lots of little ones over the next few months no exact time line but sooner rather than later is the official stance.
I would just be happy if my master account would stop getting hacked. That would be nice.
Because they can just create content out of thin air eh? They are working on more content, I assure you of that. This is better than doing nothing for the time being.
Well, it's too late for me, and probably a lot of other people as well. I am an adult, and have a family, therefore there was no way I was going to spend so much time just meaninglessly grinding to level (and level means EVERYTHING in Aion). It's a shame, because Aion does so many things right, I honestly don't know how the Koreans can stand this playstyle. Anyway... I have moved on to Fallen Earth, which is a fucking fantastic game where there are things to do regardless of your level.
There never was a grind even before the exp buffs/double exp weekends. There's plenty of quests at any level, more than enough that combined with the natural exp you gain through doing them to level up. All the way to 50.
The only time you'd ever have to grind is if you're dead-set on leveling the absolute fastest and skip the vast majority of the content in the game, or if you refuse to do group quests or some such.
That is just not true, there are some blank spots. I have done every quest so far that has been available including all group quests and level appropriate campaigns, and at level 24 i had to grind a significant portion ot the level, again at 34 the same thing. Now Im at 35 and there is only about 4 quests left in my log and no where near 36.
However, I don't mind the grind at all I have been 3 manning FT in hopes of some nice drops of the boss, no luck yet. Maybe tonight will be my night.
The grind is what you make of it, in every single MMO. It's the player's choice.
It might be more obvious in Aion, cause a lot of quests are "grindy" as in requiring you to kill a hundred or so mobs to get an awesome reward, but you don't have to do it. People who grind these quests all the way and complain that it's grindy are stupid. A week ago there was this thread about "HAVING TO GRIND FT 65 TIMES AND NOT GETTING LOOT". Such posts are stupid, because it was this person's choice to run it 65 times or whatever.
Also most of the high level content is group-based, which is always fun regardless of what you're doing. It's an MMORPG, play it with people.
I like the leveling pace, whenever you ding it's something noteworthy, important. The gear you get could last a few weeks, you get attached to your character... etc. I enjoy such things as it reminds me of games such as EQ.
People who quit before level 50 need to realize that the game just isn't for them. It's not boring, the leveling is working as intended and a lot of players prefer it that way. Boring is subjective.
N.B: I'm only talking about the leveling curve, and NOT once lvl50.
I thought the rate of leveling was fine. I only found the game to be a grind because it was not fun for me.
Then you either die a ridiculous amount of times or are missing a huge chunk of quests. I have little doubt you could skip Fire Temple in it's entirety even without coming to a moment where you run out of quests. I've plowed through those levels as both Elyos and Asmodian without even coming close to running out of quests. That's about the part where you end up sitting at 30/30 journal unless you go out of your way to avoid exp, even.
Rofl... Sorry to laugh but you left out the little fact that Fallen Earth ( unless something recently changed ) is essentially a solo game in terms of questing or grinding for that matter. There might be a ton of things to do but they are all solo. There are a few quests that require a group due to amped up quest mobs.
I played Aion as well and was turned off by the endless grind feeling but I will say that there were plenty more groups when I played Aion.
There is sooo many blank spots its funny. If there is not blank spots..there are sooo many quest that only give you 10k exp when you need 3million to next lvl.

You're right that you can play Fallen Earth mostly solo, but this isn't any different than Aion. I got to 38 in Aion and can't remember grouping more than a few times for instances. Fallen Earth isn't a solo game by design, it's just that you can play it however you want to. I have had plenty of quests that specifically recommended that I group before attempting, and when I didn't, I got killed. There IS group content.
The heavy grinds still in the game, it's not disappeared nor less grind.
With XP boost if you meet the boost requirements then you earn XP faster but it is nothing to do with grind because AION is not only need to grind XP but there are too many other reasons. In other words, even when you hit max level but it also make your grind less effective because the higher level you are the less chance the mob will drop anything good for you or your other alts.
Crafting earns XP, collecting resources earns XP, there are too many ways to earn XP, so Boost XP from resting bonus or Lodas just make you busted faster.
