in Everquest II
The other day I decided to start crafting stuff, so i go to West Freeport and talk to some woman who made me choose which class to start out with. I then choose scholar and head out to the workshop in Longshadow for Scholars. When I get there, the person in front of the entrance to the workshop tells me that he cannot permit me to join. So i go back to the lady in West Freeport and she says that i am already permitted. I am not sure what to do... Can anyone help?

Since you selected scholar as your class of crafting you must find the society that is for scholars. Being a resident of Qeynos I am not familiar with Freeport.
But there are different societies for each class.
Were missing some facts here, but since you say you are just starting on crafting, I am guessing you are not at the point (artisan level 10) to choose scholar. Thus you need to join the general artisan workshop until you reach that level, when you will be able to join the scholar society.
