Hello,
I am downloading this game right now. I am tired of the same old WoW clone crap, so I thought this would be different. I was wondeing if anyone actually plays and what the community is like. So please help guys.
Thanks,
Dustin

People do play, but the community is an anomaly if you ask me. People divide themselves up by faction in more ways than seen in other games, namely because each group serves a purpose. Most factions get along just fine, but the ones diametrically opposed to others are KoS outside their own territories. When someone is attacking your faction's colony there is usually a lot of people willing to handle it, unlike the "Orc in Goldshire" anecdote I am forcibly holding back. The game is definitely worth playing the free version, but whether you want to sub or not is understandably questionable.

Yea it's great for a free game, though not deep enough for a sub imo. It is fun, and there are a lot of people that seem to be playing right now. Every night I get into a raid with around 20-30 in my faction vs. the same in the opposing. Anytime I don't want to tag along and just roam around cities I see people running around them as well.

-Currently playing FFXIV, and BDO.
The game is quite populated during Euro primetimes (1800-2300GMT) and US EST Primetime (2100-0300GMT)
And of course during the weekends its always busy. Unless you get into the Aus/asia timezones... then it drops off quite a chunk. Most factions drop down to maybe a dozen players during those times...
So much crap, so little quality.
I canceled my subscription. The game is a lot of fun despite needing some work, but the one thing it does NOT need is more planets (spreading out an already thin population) - Yet, for some reason that is the one thing they keep adding....more planets.
You know oddly enough I would agree... but there has been somekind of influx of new players lately. Some good, some bad.
NYC is actually pretty busy most times of the day now.
So much crap, so little quality.
IF i understood how to play it, i would play it
You watch the tutorial video that comes along with the game. There should be a shortcut on your Desktop.
"Traditionally, massively multiplier online games have been about three basic gameplay pillars combat, exploration and character progression. In Alganon, in addition to these we've added the fourth pillar to the equation: Copy & Paste."
