Last year i saw the terrible news here on mmorpg.com... warhammer online had been cancelled.
But then like a few months ago i went to games worshop (the company that creates warhammer) and asked one of the staff there about the game. He said that the game was not cancelled but that it would no longer get support from games workshop. Still I haven't seen any sign of the game! Is it coming or not?!

The Pres. of Climax said development on it continues, but that is all anyone knows so far.

it is cancelled ... period.
Games workshop withdrew the license. Climax continued to develop the technology but they never found someone who was willing to pay to finish the project as there were a lot of deep rooted problems.
Climax's PR people have put a number of rubbish press releases out to try and generate interest but nothing came of it.
Climax have now layed off all the people who were working on the project.
Warhammer is dead, leave it to rest and move on.

dear oh dear... such negativity..
well here's a bit of info from someone who knows!
The engine for Warhammer Online (called Leviathan for those who care) is still alive and kicking, the 50+ people working on the title were not layed off and in fact, development is about to begin on a couple of titles based upon it thanks to a whole raft of new funding..
As for Games Workshop, theyre business development people are total idiots..from personal experience I can tell you the pathalogical need to rigidly limit any even minor flexability in thier IP makes them very hard to work with. Even worse they have a very limited understanding on games industry or television industry business models, approaching everything like a manufacturer. In the 20+ years of GW it still only breaks over the 100 million mark in revenue, which with those IPs and that audience is embarrasing.
I have nothing but respect for Climax for trying to work with GW, must of been a nightmare..look back at GWs business history and you'll see they have quite the habit of pulling licenses from people, often for no public reason at all...
my 2 cents
As I recall there used to be a website where players could sign a petition calling to continue development of Warhammer Online. There also was a post by some person, who called himself executive producer from Climax, stating that they had been embezzling development funds from the very beginning and using them to aid other Climax projects.
That one was probably a fake, but still might be taken into consideration.
Its is Ive got a full post with the info.
