Aion pvp

Am Im the only one who are very disapointed about Aion pvp? all pvp i've got to yet is a few rifts and a little abyss pvp. I find it very annoying the way it can take ages just to get a little pvp (if you don't duel) often i find people refusing to tell the location of rifts which means you have to run the whole place through to find the crap. afterwards the very limited amount of people who can get through rift means you don't really get to do so much since you will primary just get in a land with a little too many players of opposite team which just screams for help as soon as they see you.

i might be wrong, what do you think about Aion pvp? (i kind of thought it would be great since i heard the game had huge focus on pvp... what i've seen yet is more like being 5 as many as the enemy, which kind of kills the whole idea of pvp'ing or else it's ganking complete unprepared people just to get a little amount of abyss points)

yah the rifts...there are I think 6 rift locations, maybe more, and all of them are limited to a certain level, most range 10 levels.  The one rift alliance I made, was practicly full, and we all got ganked by a few rank 5 asmodians, after traveling for a half hour to get to our quests...

Here is some Rift info for you:

    http://www.aionology.com/2009/09/aion-rift-locations/

What level are you in Aion. After lvl 25 you can enter Abyss and start some pvp. Fly to small islands and check out mob lvls, frequently visit area with mobs 2-3 lvl +/- your lvl and you should find some pvp.

You will get1 shotted a lot in abyss if you are low lvl. Don't let it get to you, it's just enemies cannot see your level and every red dot in abyss is AP.

Rifting is probably the best way to learn about enemy areas and learning some tricks of pvp, but better keep moving arround or high lvls will come and give you a free ticket home.

A lot more pvp opens after lvl 46. You can enter dredgion 3/4 times a day. That's like the whole PvPvE concept of Aion at a smaller scale. Sieges are also fun if you have a good enough PC to withstand the crazy zeerging.

Try farming 20 Boiling Balaur Blood Stains at core (lvl 50 normal mobs, lvl 47+ people can farm them no probs). After a week of farming Boiling Balaur Blood Stains - you will never complain about PvP again. You will make some asmo "Friends" when you go to core - the type of friends you will do anything, anything - even kill yourself to kill them :-)

Only go to Abyss Core if you have good anger management. Otherwise Aion will be over for you lol.

atm im lvl 35 sorc. im thinking of rerolling since the pve as sorc is horrible (through my eyes) the idea of not being able to get a crit means that your damage is very balanced(low difference between min. and max damage).. the problem with this thing just is i don't feel i can improve my damage.. ANY due thw low amount of things i can change. all my attack skills have cooldowns except fire ball...

and Im just annoyed about how rare i find anyone who want to share those rift locations with others... they just put a kisk and use 20 tries themselves. the spy quests is a great thing!! problem just is it's damn boring walking a whole place through just to find a rift. no mount like thing makes it really annoying walking around looking for rifts. what i need is pvp is more easier to get into.. waiting 10 min for a rift and afterwards another 15 min to check all rift locations just to get thrown home because asmos are camping rift. personally the exit rift should not be vissible on other hand... makes it more intresting that asmos/elyos just pop out of nothing. you can't get back anyway. why make a exit rift animation then?

Sorc is the most overpowered class in the game, so yeah, don't get too excited.

Aion is featured with PVP but I found the PVP is even less and worse than WOW. The so-called PVPVE is about the same as Lotro PVM.

Anyhow, I think Aion is originally designed for Korean market, it is obviously does not suits the other market in Eruope. Because Korean has larger online players so Ncsoft has reason to avoid Korean to ganking each other, that was why Ncsoft make PVP very difficult, a timing randon rift and Abyss.

When you see a few opponents running around in your land, you are so eager to slain your opponent, fortunately you were succeed, but there was no more opponents. It is like when you and your girl friend is tendering each other, and it is about time for futher loving, something just stopping you both. And it happened always and forever.

It might be a bad example, but people get frustrated after several tries. If the frustration not only from lack of PVP confrontations, but also from lack of sufficient PVE contents, then sooner or later, Aion will be a frustrated game to play.

As I can see, Aion currently is not possible to make any change on PVP, but if you are confidence with Ncsoft, I guess, Aion may sell 2nd edition with more direct PVP. Just my guess. Since Ncsoft is so enjoy with their sales income so they are definitely waiting for the timing to introduce something to make more money.

Otherwise, as said above, you can't fall in love with Aion.
