Looking for a F2P MMO-FPS-RPG

KasseopeaKasseopea Member UncommonPosts: 28

Hi, im looking for a free to play mmo-fps-rpg, like Mass Effect. It should have PRG-elements (like collecting weapons and armor, quests and all the other stuff), but instead of the endless grinding it should have a third-person or first-person-shooter qualities. Maybe like Borderlands (but its not MMO). S4 league and GunZ are also good, but they have no RPG-elements.

Its important, that it is comletely F2P. Thx for reading.

     No. Stop making these posts.

Look, play Darkfall, Mortal, or Face of Mankind and accept the fact that there are no completely free MMOFPSRPGs and there are no MMOFPSRPGs anywhere close to being sci-fi that have any PvE worth experiencing.

EDIT: That being said, Face of Mankind is the closest you'll get. Mortal is completely F2P (in open beta) right now but it's as fantasy as it gets.

Mortal is the last game i would recommend to anyone, the state it's in this close to release is nothing short of shocking. They shouldn't even be thinking about open beta never mind release at this point. One to avoid for a year at least IMO.

You know what, after reading that again, Face of Mankind is exactly what you want.

I agree but i personally suggest as a game to look forward to rather than play right now.

    First, thx for anwers.

Second, face of mankind is a sci-fi version of "second life" without flying. Runned about 5 hours in 2 different factions and nothing happened, just patrouiling and running around.

P.S. im very sorry for my wish, to play a game, which is interesting and challenging (not those ****ed up grinders, where you are standig 2 months on the same spot, killing the same mob) and that i dont have the money to play a p2p-game.

Sounds like you should pick the clans. Usually they may have stuff to do if you join a cell. If not killing someone, then probably killing a group or an entire faction.

These communities seem to be more focused on VOIP rather than chat so Ventrilo and TeamSpeak should be a secondary program you should have onboard since this game relies on instant communication. Also check around their forums, usually there are events or news you might be aware of before just hoping in and trying to kill everyone you see.

battleswarm is a bad game, would never suggest it but huxley is quite fun although it's in beta.

  • KasseopeaKasseopea Member UncommonPosts: 28

Already played Battleswarm, its kinda fun if you like Starship Troopers, but its deathmatch and not RPG.

And huxley was in the closed beta, last time i visited their page.

Dont missunderstand me, i love deathmatch-games too, warrock, wolf team, combat arms - great games, but it owuld be great to have a MMORPG mixed with an FPS, so you can shoot AND loot, improve your weapons and armors and so on. Some time ago i wished a f2p space-simulator, but gived it up, and i guess im forced to do the same, searching for a f2p rpg-fps...

there's one called project of planets which has an fps mode

neocron 2 is free if u can access it

    and ddo has twitch combat

  • KasseopeaKasseopea Member UncommonPosts: 28

PoP has something about 30 players online at once, even if it is a great game. Neocron 2 is p2p

    Umm, Global Agenda?

F2P, MMO, TPS, along with rpg elements in crafting, gearing, and consistent character development.

altho its fantasy, and not first or third person shooting, i recommend trying Valkyrie Sky.   its more like a 2D (altho the graphics are 3d) scrolling "bullet hell" old school arcade shooter.   free, and has alot of typical MMORPG elements even tho the combat feels NOTHING like a MMORPG.

Despite it being a 50$ purchase it is not free to play.  There will be a fee to play after March, so not exactly fitting to his requirements.

  • KasseopeaKasseopea Member UncommonPosts: 28

Global Agenda isnt free to play. Valkyrie sky isnt a 3ps or fps, as you already said.

  • LaserlifeLaserlife Member UncommonPosts: 40

Global Agenda is free to play. The fee after March is optional... I'd call that f2p.

And if we're in the realm of entirely free games, I might as well ignore this thread.

  • KasseopeaKasseopea Member UncommonPosts: 28

Ok, if it is f2p, could you give me a DL-link then? i cant find one. Just a site, where i can purchase this game.

There are a lot of game with micropayment, but the most of them are MMORPGs and im already bored of them.

the thing is, you're NOT going to get what you want.

therefore be happy people are recommending some things that have SOME of the elements you desire.

GA is only f2p, in the sense that you don't have to pay a monthly fee.  you DO have to pay the $50 or whatever for the game.  like Guild Wars but with an optional monthlysubscription.

Lol, did i forced someone to post anything? Its a "looking for a game" forum, so i asked. You guys are this kind of aggressive, that i already feeling completely unwelcome, its like "gtfo, noob! WTF do ya want here?!?  you wanna play?!?, pay or fuck off!". I mean, im not asking you for money or anything like this. I just wanted to know if there is a FPSRPG, which bases on micropayment.

There are always some game, which are in CB or in development, so i thought that somebody here maybe knows such a game. And now you are barking at me, just because im anwering the posting?

And just btw., im thankfull for all posts, as long as the author is trying to help me.

You can try Afterworld. Its f2p. The graphics are kind of suckish, but its going to get a facelift eventually, and the videos of what it should look like were pretty nice.

What the fuck? Read what I wrote...

It is, IN FACT, free to play by the criteria of not REQUIRING a subscription payment. But yes, it does indeed cost money for the initial software.

  • KasseopeaKasseopea Member UncommonPosts: 28

f2p means, that you must not pay real money to play a game. In your definition games like Risen, Bioshock and Dead Space are f2p aswell.

@mrcalhou: last time i logged in, my avatar had no hairs XD Maybe they fixed it, i will try it out, thx.

  • xtoorxtoor Member Posts: 11

it was a sugestion i dont like battleswarm myself huxley is really promising i know is on beta stage but hey its worth the wait besides that i can only think of face of mankind wich i dont like the boredom kills me on that game u can spend hours in game without seeing a fight thats kinda lame but if u try it and u like it then happy for you

You're taking it out of context now; I'm obviously referring to MMOs, welcome to mmorpg.com.

And in reference to Bioshock, et c. those are, technically, free to play: the software may cost you, but there are no fees to play.

Anarchy Online is a cool rpg shooter game, You might want to check out ijji.com they got some free shooters there, they'll also be the one's who have Huxley.

If those aren't to yer liking, you could also check out a list of MMO shooters at : http://mmohut.com/games/shooter

    Godspeed my fellow gamer
