f2p pets?

I'm looking for a game that is heavily pet based. i want a companion feel. it be amazing if you could tame and raise a pet but just raising is good.

I've already played rappelz and guild wars so please exempt them from your suggestions.

 

Edit: forgot to add no cutesy graphics.

     Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine

     Any creature you see can be captured, leveled, and even fused together with another to create completly new/different types.

     It doesn't exactly have cutesy gfx, it's anime so it still has that cartoonish look.

    Rappelz is completely about pets, but its also a hardcore-grinder, and i shouldnt even dream about getting higher pets (e.g. the white dragon pet was sold on ebay for ~15.000 $)

     

    Shin Megami Tensei is a really great game, lil bit like Pokemon^^

     

    @just2duh: harpies or angels are pretty cute (even nude XD)

    Thanks for the suggestion of Shin Megami Tensei but i just cant see past the art style which just isnt my taste.

     

    Any other suggestions?

    That's sad, because you're missing out on the best pet-based f2p out there.

    Alternately, I might suggest Asda Story, but there's those pesky "cutesy" graphics.

    Honestly, I'm hard pressed to think of a pet based f2p game that doesn't have "cutesy" graphics. It sounds like you may have to get over some things if you want to find something.
