DL ModReversion... Then no more problems after Blizzard launches a patch on you... Make sure you run it after you get patch and prior to loading WOW up agian.....

Cosmos is dead atm, I don't get why a patch that involves Euro beta servers has to affect the U.S. servers, the latest patch is to blame for the cosmos disaster. Maybe they'll update Cosmos in the near future and it'll come back?
Just open the .toc files in each of your directories under interfaces and change the version to 4211. or Download the files again and start clean if your uncomfortable doing that.
You should never need to run any executables for the third party gui's .
True, but 2 days ago, Cosmos was not able to patch my UI. Too much demand I guess.
The 3rd party updater I linked just saves you the hassle of going through every file and update the version manually. You save some what, maybe 10 mins. There is a lot of .toc in Cosmos.
If the game was intended to have all these little extras on it that Cosmos provides..then it would have it. Cosmos is no better than having a bot program running under your game, its cheating.
hopefully blizzard will find a way to make sure cosmos never works again. not that i care either way really...if u stink at WoW, Cosmos isnt gonna help u anyways lol.

remyburke, have you ever heard of UI customization? And yes, WoW was intended to have Cosmos and tons of other mods already made for WoW. Also WoW supports Lua scripting so data collection bots like Thottbot, CensusMod, Loot Link, etc. are legit.
If Blizzard wants to remove some functionality from UI mods, they can, they will and actually already have removed some UI features during closed beta.
And the default WoW UI is minimalistic, so playing without any mod is a pain. If they didn't allow UI customization you could easily call the WoW UI one of the worst interfaces ever made, however right now it's exactly the opposite.
then why doesnt blizzard just impliment what cosmos is doing? just doesnt make sense to me to have to goto a third party program to get all these extras. i admitt i look at what cosmos gives and it seems to have alot of cool features, but its not part of the core game so i feel it shouldnt be used.
just my thoughts on it

Blizzard doesn't just pick a UI and use it because different people like different things. I'm not personally a Cosmos fan. I use Gypsy, which is a much more minimalist approach, and doesn't have all of the other subprograms that Cosmos has. Many people like having all of the additional AddOns.
UI Scripting is fully supported as an acceptable way to get the most out of WoW. They have an entire forum about it on the official WoW website, in fact, with stickys at the top where many of the most popular UIs are linked. If this was a grey area or cheating, I don't think Blizzard would bother making stickies about it on their forums, or provide documentation about how to make mods.
They're just smart enough to let people determine what they like, and provide the tools for the end user to reach their goal. I think most people have had some experience in a game where they wished they had just one more shortcut key, or wished there was a command to do a series of tasks rather than repeated mouse clicks. Add ons and macros make this possible.
I downloaded the files and started clean, have had no problems.
Hmmm...using cosmos is cheating...I never thought of it that way. I play a warrior and in a fight I use so many buttons multiple toolbars come in very handy. I would think, as a shaman remy, you would you even more buttons.
At the lower levels, I probably could live without a ui. But where I'm at now, it would be a major pain in the butt to go without one. And as we all do, I play to have fun - not to be irritated.

I used WoWToc to update all version numbers of my cosmos UI, since Cosmos seems overwhelmed with patch demand.
Find it here: http://www.curse-gaming.com /mod.php?addid=216
It will only update every .toc files in your UI so they have the latest version number.
You don't need to run any tools.
Just open the .toc files in each of your directories under interfaces and change the version to 4211.

Download the files again and start clean if your uncomfortable doing that.
