Congradulations SOE on contributing your  2 cents to Americas fastest growing disease, and soon to be the number one cause for strokes and heart attacks - OBESITY!

i guess SOE didn't think it was enough that 60% of Americans are overweight.

Whats that saying again......................oh yeah, i got it.............Only in America!

I cant stop laughing. This is the best now when someone asks

    EQ2 OR WOW?

You can order pizza on EQ2. EQ2 > WOW rofl. (Don't flame me, im joking, I Don't care either way but it'd be a funny way to respond to someone asking!)

If I were a stockholder, I would be happy if brillant businessmen figure out ways to bring in more money.  Kind of like Blizzard is doing by spreading WoW all over the world and trying to reach as many customers as possible.

You have to be a damn communist or a socialist pansy to hate capitalism at its best.  There's a reason why USA and Japan are the richest countries in the world and bring us most of our video games to our homes.  Competition breathes life in the world.

I dont know how much it cost Pizza's hut, but it is definitely wise publicity for them.

SoE barely offer them an option.

Pizza is the best fast food, but still...it is fast food.

I wonder how long before more advertising hehe.

Lots of MMO advertising now. Theres Constantine billboards in MXO and all sorts of licensed fashion apparel in the game for use. RocaWear hoodies and pants being the most prominent

Do you know what the sad part about this is? That there WILL be EQ2 players who will actually take advantage of this service and order pizza!!! Even though it's kinda dumb, I have to give credit to SoE for having the testicles to pull something like this.

  • PasomattPasomatt Member Posts: 221

Its easier for me to call the pizza place and continue to play, rather then interrupt my playing to bring up this outside ordering form for pizza. Plus you have to be registered at pizzahut.com.

So yeah, I won't be using it.

WoW can have /sucker for all the kids. Probably do better too,lol
  • DekothDekoth Member Posts: 474
I tried this out in game last night as my wife and I had already planned on pizza before we ever saw this. So we used this for the fun of it. Before anyone asks we eat pizza once every 2 months tops. I found this extremely amusing and deeply disturbing at the same time. image

If you think about it, this is not really nessecary.  Is it that hard to go afk for a min to alt-tab and order it online or just pick up your phone while still playing and order.  They only did it as advertisment for pizza hut.  I will bet money that this will not be the last we will see of this kind of thing.  MMORPGs are growing so much in popularity why not use them as a source of advertisment.  there will be more!

well MxO can 'kinda' get away with tho imo the ads in that game should be fake generic items, like tasty wheats

Pizza hut doesn't deliver to my address, and besides it's greasy. So many better local mom and pop pizza shops around.

an answer in " remove IGE sign "
    on this forum ....

Now Change IGE by Pizzahut and mmorpg.com by EQII you have something interesting ::::02::

I agree that IGE does hurt in game economies, but mmorpg.com needs ad revenue to continue. If you wanna piss, moan and complain about the ads, fine. The fact of the matter is that IGE's not going anywhere anytime soon, and they're paying good money to advertise here. If you don't wanna support IGE, fine. Don't click the ad. However, for those who wish to support them, the ad is there. That's how it's going to be, so just deal with it, and suck it up.

You do realize your post has utterly nothing to do with the topic? Wrong thread perhaps?

    /pizza

    NOT WERK? ::::04::

  • CherubinCherubin Member Posts: 2

nope, i do think it still have a connection....

the mmorpg community is growing... It is '' sadly '' another market target, where you can do some marketing, and why not, it might be cheaper than advertising through TV , radio, etc...

Why not testing it ? I'm sure, as mentionned upper, that some EQII fellows have already ordered some pizzas =) Now it might be a bit of a trolling to say that verant really need such advertissment to be a viable firm....

SOE is not the first to do something like /pizza. There are other MMORPGs that have had Adverts in their games long before SOE offered Pizza. I believe that Counterstrike has in game adverts.

Yes I saw this today and I decided to cancel my account.  EQ2 is becoming like old Pizza Hut pizza anyways, stale and unoriginal.  I will admit defeat now to those that I defended EQ2 against.  You were right, this game has more fun than a kick in the nuts.
