| A Gnome Warrior protest on the Argent Dawn role-playing server of World of Warcraft caused the server to be brought down tonight during peak time. Official details are sketchy at the moment but it appears warriors from many servers came to Argent Dawn, created gnome warriors, stripped down to loin clothes and began protesting percieved imbalances with the Warrior class. |

I remember when that happened in SWG, except in SWG, many people created Trial Accounts, came to Theed, spammed like crazy, thus crashing the server. All the Trial accounts got banned cause you aren't allowed to Disrupt the gameplay for others. But that didn't matter cause it was trial accounts.
This is WoW!!! Sure you can create an alt, but you're using the same account as your real character!
Ooh... I have a feeling we'll be seeing a few less people in WoW soon... if they aren't already banned. he he he

yeah, i know some accounts did get suspended. I cant remember what site I saw this on...if I come across the entire article I will post it.

after the first few screenshots, it shows the message that the guy got about his account being suspended. it seems that blizzard does not f around with stuff like that...
what do you guys think about it?
I think that any in-game protest are just silly and account suspensions are in order. The warriors just didn't like the fact that their class is considers to be the weakest. So they decided to ruin the fun for others. They chose the RP server and it seems that angry jerks usually pick the RPing community as the target for unloading their teen angst.
Geh, too many gnomes. You couldn't pay me to play one of those little weenies.
I saw like 15 of the screen shots taken during that incident. If those were all NPCs and I was a rogue, Pick pocket would be going crazy. Same note as the above, I wouldn't be able to see myself playing a gnome except for something extremely stupid.
So stupid, even, that I cannot think about what that stupid reason would be.
Heh heh heh, sounds like some gnomes had a shot glass of some bud-lite and went nuts.
The ONLY way you'd get me to be a gnome is if you payed me, end of story.
I have a Gnome mage, he has a long pointy hair and is called sparky. But he is only level 3 and mainly used to taunt people or say something like "they are after me lucky charm" and run on the field when I don't have anything better to do.
So Gnomes are good for something.
I think that if you have been given a warning, yet you continue to do what you've been doing then if you get banned - well its your own fault.
I think the idea of a protest like that is great. Laying down the duel flags was a nice touch. Crashing the server is going too far, however I'm not sure that was the intention. Any visit to IF during peak hours makes you feel like its about to crash anyway.
