its odd how they charge so much in a game thats nothing more than a pure rip off of the world of warcraft core engine even some of the mobs are the exact same i dont know how the price system works if its gpotato and the game makers or just gpotato as there just a host. in any case the game is not p2p quality its not worth your hard earned cash not at that list prce, the other gpotato games seem to have a fine cash shop and i play rappelz not a bad shop there maybe it is a mistake...

if its not well like many mmorpg games here today gone the next. whats new

ps. aika was a nice game good cbt  lets hope when it goes live they dont make the same mistake.. i would hate to see it shot down too

Maybe they should have just saved time and money by using their ru coding skills to hack a bank. It would have been faster...

This is why it's in beta.

To test to see if the community rages when they do something like this.

    lol,

I like how you pay for "raid time"

I can already picture the classic moment when the group engages the boss mob and the main tank disappears right after the pull because he ran out of "raid time"

  • AIMonsterAIMonster Member UncommonPosts: 2,059

Players who don't think that perfume is needed haven't played the game at 40.

Not only is PvP forced on you with war banners, but you also require the perfume for PvE too, at the very least if you are a tank.  The HP buff is necessary to raid, kill Allods bosses, and heroic dungeon bosses can one shot you without it.  Good luck accomplishing anything in the game without the perfume.

You can receive the perfume via a long quest chain (that was also broken on Empire side when I did it) that grants you one perfume a day.  The quest chain takes over 30 minutes to accomplish and grants little EXP, so it's next to pointless bothering with the quest.

But, what people fail to realize also is there are more than just perfumes causing imbalances in the game right now.  Having 6 level 10 runes (which will cost you over $45,000 to make) will give you an increase of about 90% max HP and 30% more total damage.

You can also obtain additional talent points (5 total) via pages off chests that come from the cash shop.

The company is also discriminating against US and Euro players since they decided that 600-2000% (yes, some items such as the aforementioned bag have a 2000% markup, no item I believe has lower than a 600% markup) than the Russian version.

Well it isnt that bad, most of you saw RoM item Shop, prices and items there are well....outrages. Allods is F2P and Cash Shop items are moslty for fun, dont give much advantage in game i think.

For those who didnt read: 19.02.2010

    "Hello Allods Players!

What an amazing week! On Tuesday, Allods Online entered open beta for the entire world to enjoy and earlier this morning we went live with its item shop.

We wanted to take an opportunity to apologize to the community for our lack of communication. We made a mistake by not letting you, our most passionate players know when the item shop was going to go live and we didn’t make the effort to learn more about how all of you feel regarding the contents of the item shop. Because of our lack of communication to you, many of you were wildly taken back by what you saw in the item shop today.

We’ve heard you loud and clear and it’s no secret that some of our players feel the prices we have in our item shop are not fair.

Over the next several weeks we will continue to evaluate the details of our item shop and we will begin to introduce new items to help assist you throughout your Allods experience. We wanted to make clear that beyond the introduction of the item shop nothing has changed in Allods that wouldn’t allow you to enjoy the game just as much as you did during closed beta. You can still enjoy the entire game without ever having to spend a single cent. Additionally, many of the items available in the item shop are tradable in-game, appear through a number of quests, and can be auctioned off by other players.

One thing that the Allods team really strives to do is to listen to every piece of feedback from the community. We encourage everyone to continue submitting constructive feedback to us through e-mail (allods_suggestion@gala-net.com), our forums, or even through a brief tweet (http://twitter.com/allodsgame), or comment on our Facebook page (Allods Online Facebook). If you have anything to say about the game, now will be a great time to do so because we will be spending each day collecting and understanding feedback from you.

This has been an exciting and challenging week for all of us! We will continue to work towards making Allods Online one of the best MMO experiences possible! As we’ve said before, the Allods Online players are some of the best fans in the world, so thank you for your continuous support and feedback."

This is why I cry whenever gpotato hosts a game. Obscene cash shop prices are always in line with their games. An hour of double exp in Rappelz is about 2 US. and that gane is very grindy even WITH those items.

"An MMORPG could be completely diffirent from WoW. Just look at games like Dofus, Wizard101 or EVE. But as it is, most of the Western MMOs are trying to succeed by out-WoWing WoW. It's like an army of 10 sports games made about same sports, and barely none about other sports. WoW clone is an accurate description of those games, it manages to convey much information with only two words."

RoM is a great game and i just paid 15 euros for a mount and a few more objets, just because i wanted , and i dont regret it, but... 1$ for 1 pvp hour? Epic fail for allods online , it´s a pity, looked nice.

  • OzmodanOzmodan Member EpicPosts: 9,726

    I told you so!

Many were saying how great this game was, yet I kept telling you a pvp game with an item shop is nothing, but a huge money pit.

The only thing that matters in this game is the size of your wallet/purse.

The only thing this game will be notable for is the greed of it's producers.

I dont know about any of you, but if I'm going to invest what little time I have in a game then I want to experience all it has to offer, but I'm not willing to pay more than I would for a p2p title and there are many out there that are far better than this.  I haven't found a f2p game yet that I could enjoy for the same price as I can a p2p.

I'll be sticking with my p2p games.

I'm not an IT Specialist, Game Developer, or Clairvoyant in real life, but like others on here, I play one on the internet.

Be prepared. When the latest patch (1.7) gets to you, you will be surprised :)

Here is a Google Translate version - http://translate.google.ru/translate?js=y&prev=_t&hl=ru&ie=UTF-8&layout=1&eotf=1&u=http://forum.allods.ru/showthread.php?t=48580&sl=ru&tl=en

Some points may be rather vague (in Google's translation, that is), yet it gets the message across the board.

The message is simple - no, you will not be able to experience it all for free (well, you will be able to experience it all for free, yet this free experience may be rather long and tedious).

This patch is surely major and has some interesting points. Will it break the game? Time will tell...

The real test here is how absoultly stupid are gamers going to be, are people going to hand these thieves...err...I mean business the money they are asking for, or are they going to say enough is enough.

Businesses cant be expected to have any morals, they will charge what people will pay, the way to fix this is simple: DONT BUY ANYTHING.

  • ValarioValario Member Posts: 1

hmmm....i though the cash shop was optional?....i'm enjoying the game without buying anything....

  • drbaltazardrbaltazar Member UncommonPosts: 7,856

yep just let gpotato stew !BUT continue to enjoy th game !trust me !1 million player not paying will go trough gpotato that their pricing isnt low enough.

some have said to leave the game!why do that ?it will send the wrong message to gpotato ,gpotato will be like :we got a lemon!

but if gamers play it but dont buy it will mean the game is good but the guys that thot the cs store was too drunk when he put the price in there"

  • kyse2kyse2 Member UncommonPosts: 32

thats just crazy lol good thing i most likely wont play that game very much if at all the walking in the game is what bored me lol made me think of wow 2 much

  • DanubusDanubus Member Posts: 169

What I just cannot fathom is why they are wanting to destroy their own game with this nonsense. The game is really good, but they are going to drive the playerbase away with these outrageous prices. Most people would pay and pay frequently if prices were decent. Why they are trying to pass off these ridiculous prices to their players is beyond me. Gpotatoes is the new P. T. Barnum.  Only thing is most people are onto the con already and those suckers they think will buy things are far and few between.

This is alot like the P2P system in Global Agenda. The only problem is, GA beats Allods online in almost every aspect. Seriously, who is going to pay for crap when you can get something better for half the price? Allods Online has a clunky combat system and until it fixes that it's a broken game.

  • McGamerMcGamer Member UncommonPosts: 1,073

AN is being ridiculous with their pricing. They can't even fix their current bugs and broken content areas yet that should of been done in CB even. I think they are definitely biting off more than they can chew at this point. I would of thought that given their shakey dev history of IP's and poor profit gain in the past would make them cautious about making such huge mistakes...

GA is a third person shoot with counterstrike playstyle. It isn't even an mmo and yet you compare the two?

     HOLD ON!

I looked at the perfumes. I saw that a stack of 20 was $13.50

So that would make it .78 cents each for 1 perfume that gave you 10 hours of raid time. That would break it down to .075 cents and hour. Unless you die and then the buff goes away? Maybe not, because I play a hunter scout and when I died the enchanted arrows that I had in my quiver didn't dissapear. So they have the tech to make this so.

If it wasn't something that you lost upon death its worth it then.

Can someone clarify if it disappears after death?

    Perfumes last 30 minutes, not 10 hours.  That's why it's $13.50 for 10 hours.
