You're not seeing many patches or much in the way of post-release development because they did it all before release. I'm not a WOW fanbois of any kind. I play the game a little to satisfy my MMORPG fix until something like Vanguard comes out.

However, I have to say that WOW has the most complete, content-rich game world I've ever played in. I am simply amazed at the different things in this game; there is always a new surprise over the next hill, it seems.

The game doesn't have a ton of challenge and solo is the prime mode of play, causing me to miss the community atmosphere I saw in games like EQ a few years ago, but this is a very well-done game with few, if any, pain points. By this, I mean there is nothing about WOW that annoys me like EQ2, for example.

WOW is a darn good game.

WoW is SO FUN to play. PERIOD. There's nothing out there that is as much fun and just all around well done as it. I feel sad for people who, like me, held their hopes out for other games and even after their release continued to blindly write of WoW because, well, of ignorance. My gf bought it for us both and OMG ITS JUST SO DAMN FUN image

I for one will not call an orange an apple for politeness sake, I am flaming so put on your fire retardant. WoW for me has a lot of potential, it has the graphics, the easy playability, Decent PvP.

I've played WoW since NA release and had a lot of hopes about what the developers had planned for the game. I'll list some things that totally turned me off of WoW.

Alliance vs horde not balanced: The Horde has a much tougher time leveling at the rate of the alliance, this has led to a bad balance of 5-1 in favor of the alliance, OMG teh god class paladin has a lot to do with this, as well as Thief being unbalanced as well as more powerfull if you were an elf. Alliance has 2 times the food recipies as the horde making cooking unbalanced in favor of the alliance.

The devs have a horrible track record in the forums for not addressing issues that are brought up by the players giving them phrases like "I will look into it" and then not getting back to the thread with a response. Not responding to a thread when there are over 500 posts asking for a Blue answer. And my favorate one "Working as intended". The devs do not post on what they are currently working on as far as content/bug fixes are concerned.

Much too easy/fast to level, When a powergamer can get to lv 60 in a week..........well that is broken however you slice your cake.

Intermittant downtime all accrost the board with little or no warning.

I could go on and on but all you have to do is take a look at the blizzard general forums to see peoples concerns about the current problems.
