"Lost connection to mapserver"

Does anyone else get this a lot?

It seems this is still a common problem in CoH. When I first played the game on release, this happened a lot. I followed the directions on their of what to do incase it happens, but no difference. I guess it's just their servers?

Dunno about this. Try working with support or Case in the Tech section of the CoH forum. I haven't gotten a LCTM message since May. I know there have been some ISP issues that have cropped up with their east coast servers once or twice in the last couple of months. Guess I'm on a west coast server.

    Good Luck with your issue.

I got it a lot pre Issue 3, but now I am having no more of those problems.  I play on Virtue.

I have been playing CoH since beta.  After the game went live, I think I have had maybe 3 mapserver disconnects in my entire time playing the game.  I am on Pinnacle server, using a DSL connection, and find it extremely stable.

As posted in the last post i am on the Pinnacle server but i have had a few, however that was going back to just after beta, i attributed it to the fact i was i europe playing when it wasn't such a common position.

The tech support was very good though and i found it happened less and less if you are still having problems have you tried useing them?

Final thought i know you probably have a lot of friends on the server you are on but try a different server, this can just be a temporary thing but it will allow you do find out wether or not your problem is server related. If it is then maybe talk to some of your closer friends and see if they want the challenge of starting over, if its not the reason then it gives you more information with which to feedback to the tech team to help to correct the fault image

This happened to me only once, and it was just the other day. Fortunately it didn't cause any trouble. It's funny, I hear so much about people having troubles like this and it never seems to happen to me.

Uff da is as uff da does!

Yeah, this is really the only game it does it to me on. Maybe it's just the server, but I don't feel like switching because i've gotten so far. It's only frustrating when I have to play the same mission over and over :P The customer support was very handy with all of their information(Best Customer Support i've ever dealt with). They gave me these programs to run and for me to send back the info they gave back, asked if i had a firewall, and asked how my connection to the internet is set up. They suggested running the cable from my cable modem directly to my machine instead of a router. I think If I did this, how would my brother be able to share the modem? lol
