Costs?

I can't seem to find what the costs will be. I was just wondering. I know they are probably going to be like Lineage 2's fees, but I hope they are only like $9.99 per month plus game cd.

its sort of way too early to be worrying about cost at this point of junction wait till near the end of beta to worry about this

lol well there u go then great.. cost is truly indiffrent if the game is good and keeps u playing for a wile espicaly when theres always new things to find and etc

It seems the days of playing anything online in an organized manner free are going the way of the dodo. With the exception of guildwars, all the new MMOs are pay to play, as expected, but a lot of multiplayer games are also starting to have fees added on. For example, Battlefield Vietnam has it's "rent a server" option as part of the multiplayer interface, and many of the clans are starting to either ask for donations either on the server or from their members, or flat out charge clan members to help defray costs. Not saying this is good or bad, just trying to say that pay to play is becomming embedded in the gaming lexicon in places other than MMOs. It is funny though. We have more ISPs and webspace than ever before, but the price for this virtual realestate is still at a premium.

As far as AA goes, as long as it delivers the experience we're all expecting (to a reasonable degree) I don't think cost is really an issue as I'm sure it will be on par with the other games.

There will be a monthly subscription in addition to initial cost of the game. Both will be comparable to the cost of other NCsoft products.

Any chance NCsoft is offering a game consolidated subcription deal (ALA station pass) in the near future? I'd prefer to not have to drop CoH to cover the cost when it comes out.

I dont think i will buy this game if the charge is more than $9.99. i dont understand why so many games are going pay to play because i like the fact that u can play a game like WoW for a long time but it does get boring, but if this game includes a wide selection of vehicle, great gameplay, and a really cool clan experience like custom paint jobs and logos. this will be a game to check out.

sorry to tell u man but most games pay rates are 12-15 bucks a mounth with it being cheaper if u pay every 3-12 months ( thouse prices have been rounded up ) i havent seen a game cost 10 bucks a month in quite a wile

''most games'' should read: ''Most new HOTs MMORPGs'', since most games have no monthly fees at all.
