I dont like it

The characters speaking russian in combat is enough for me not to like it. But other than that its pretty much identical to champions online. I dont like it. The maps and quests are too complicated. Too much running to find stuff in a world that all looks the same. Combat is pretty dull, graphics are bleh, gameplay is dated. The game just feels like a waste of time. And who wants to put that much time into a f2p mmo? F2P's are supposed to be quick to the action, not world of warcrafts. I dont like it. I tried it.

Its nothing like champs and this is obviously a troll thread, but either way, the game was hard to bear for me so i could only play a day. The graphics seemed a little rough on the eye, and the combat just seemed so un fluid like,it seemed like inbetween every attack/skill, it was a new fight or something

    MMOs played: Too many
Watch List: FFXIV, CoH:GR, GW2, SWTOR, TERA, Earthrise

Its identical to champs in gameplay style, not a troll thread. Have you played champions? Its like watching long distance skiing. Nothing ever changes. Same pace, same mobs, same everything. Its gameplay is so static I feel like Im sitting at the beach with no hot chics.

The characters speaking in russian is actually due to the fact the English translations haven't been introduced yet. Some races already have english translations attached to their characters, and many NPCs have English voice overs.

As for comparing this to Champions Online, I have to disagree. The gameplay in Champions is much different, and you have a much more powerful character creator. Also, Champions Online is heavily instanced, whereas Allods is an open world.

The rest are opinions and I won't bother introducing my own.

yes i did play champs, closed/open beta and a month after release, and there is actually a lot of progression in combat as u lvl and such, allods feels like u sit there on ur chair without getting into the game as you hit skills that dont effect the battle much

Why havent english translations been introduced? A huge percentage of russians speak english they couldnt just do it on the fly? Every Russian ive ever known spoke perfect english and Ive known a lot Im half Russian.

    Google: "Open Beta"

I don't like it for the reason that there is a massive fast lane for people with cash in every aspect of the game not just cosmetics. In a competitive game it boils to: the largest wallet wins

Why do people like characters speaking korean or japanese, or fantasy mumbo jumbo, but not russian?

I didn't play CO, but wasn't that the game where you were travelling around with superpowers and stuff? How is that identical to Allods?

The maps and quests are too complicated.

I found quests in MMORPGs which had a bad description, but none ever that was remotely complicated.

Why is combat dull, what do you dislike about the graphics and how is the gameplay dated?

It's the other way round: F2P's are in general slower than subscription based games, unless you pay money (in which case it's not free anymore).
I'm no Allods fanboy, I played the beta a while ago and stopped playing it. But threads where people just blurt out random stuff without any arguments or any depth is pointless to me.

Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)

Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)

1.Other people may like it I dont

    2. General malaise of early game gameplay

    3.  The quests are just too complex for how boring and painstaking they are.

4.Combat is dull because its been done a trillion trimes. Graphics are exactly like wow which im sick of, gameplay is reminiscent of something made 6-8 years ago needs to be updated

    5. The few f2p's i ventured into seemed to be pretty quick to start.

    5 1/2 who cares

All I can say is that you did not give a valid reason for why you did not like it.  Quests too complex? Lmao. Maybe you are just too simple. Combat dull? Hmmm, how long did you play...30 mins? Heh. Reminiscent of 6-8 years ago? Today's mmo biggies were made 6 to 8 years ago. That is bad? Hah. I'm glad you don't like it because you would only add to the lag problem. And that is the ONLY problem Allods has. No doubt the devs will get that fixed in the near future. As it stands I am willing to say that Allods is a GOOD game, and free!!!! However, once the lag problem is fixed this game will be GREAT, and probably be in the top ratings.

why play allods when you can play wow? you dont think itll force you to pay cash at some point, you will. may as well play an english speaking game with a huge playerbase. allods just stinks. i moved to eve, kinda liking that

Your main point for not playing the game is cause character voices are in russian? That reason seems pretty shallow and discriminating, and don't try to bull**it us saying you are half-russian I've heard that "oh I should know cause Im half-X..."lie/excuse a dozen times. You have not mentioned anything about the naval PvP , mainly cause you haven't tried it so you ask why would people play this over wow? Considering you probably got to lvl 20 or so Id say cause Its free, it has slightly better graphics and the same gamplay mechanics.

I'm playing Allods and find the game to be fun.

The graphics are good, better than WoW's ...crisper and more realistic. The character models look better and less cartoony.

The character development, ie ..leveling up path, is much more varied with a dozen different attributes to tweak. All of which are dependent on each other allowing for dozens of different character builds. With rubies and such available one gets to tweak out their character dozens of different ways for each school.

Character development ( leveling ) is by far it's strongest point for me.

WoW is pretty generic in this regards. ( Ie..there are only 3 kinds of Pally's in WoW where Allod's can have a dozen varieties ..at least)

The mobs are standard fair. They look good with an average AI equal to that of WoW's.

The quests are varied from kill x, to run this here and there, to talk to so and so.. There are lots of them.

I'm exploring the crafting game still ...too early to form an opinion on it. I'm still leveling up on copper so I can mine iron so I can quest for a second profession.

Considering too that this game is technically still in beta stages...it's very well done. I would be very surprise if this game ISN'T successful.

( please note...I play casually and have one character up to lv 12 and another to lv 6 so I'm not exactly playing end game yet.)
