I tried to like the game.

I tried to like the game but it has become so repetative that i find logging in to be a chore.

I mean how many times do i have to find the same 5 things in the same 5 places.

Maybe i am one of those that just do not get it but i sure as hell not going to pay another dime to find whatever the hell it is that i do not get..

It's like we are paying for a beta i mean really that is how i look at it.

Time for me to find a new game because paying for crap like this is just not my cup of tea

Your not alone. Ill never buy a Cryptic product again.

Personally I just bought an ATI 5770 1 gb videocard and preordered Battlefield: Bad Company 2.

    Time to kick some ass.

10 of us bought this game in my guild and right now a big fat zero of us play it, its one of the worse excuses of a mmo i have ever seen, but we should have known after champions............

oh well another great ip wasted in a epic fail............

    Playing: FFXIV
Future: wishing for SWG 2, World of Warcraft Classic
Played: Most current and extinct MMO's - 18 Years in....

    Interesting Fact - I own 27 Tarantula's

Well, one thing is for sure, past March 5th there shouldn't be any more connection  or lag problems, as probably about 30% of the current population will disappear.

  • RydesonRydeson Member UncommonPosts: 3,852

30%?  I'm guessing 1/2 will be gone by April 1st.. and that isn't a fools joke.. lol

  • April-RainApril-Rain Member UncommonPosts: 316

id go above half, i think the population drop will be greater than champions, shame as cryptic have lived off the praise of coh and stopped there no inovation what so ever and have just washed and repeated, they still think that standard is acceptable in todays mmo gaming and have not moved on or improved, this is why the staff have a cockey attitude.....   this will be there downfall.......

if you want to flame about the spelling - its called Jack Daniels.......

This is what happened to me.  I think the game is a lot of fun, but you run out of missions.  All I have left is a broken mission, the boring repeatables and several pvp missions.. but since it takes an act of congress to get in a pvp match, I haven't been able to complete even one pvp mission.  You sit in a que for hours on end, just to find out you've been removed from the que.. so you have to keep checking the que to make sure your still in one.

I have stopped my subscription, but will definately go back once they add more content.  I mean what choice do I have, there isn't anything else worth playing.

glad I didn't buy CO, my bro got STO for his birthday and in the beginning was interesting but geez, we couldn't make it past the first week as the game is a total boredom. We finally decided not to even try a Cryptic game ever, not even beta!

*Sigh*  Happened to me also.  Bought the collector's edition months in advance.  Took off work the week of gamelaunch with a warning to my wife not to speak to me unless she was telling me she had another keg of beer delivered.  Looked forward to years of enjoyable gameplay.  Cancelled today.  Lack of content.  RIP STO.

Yeah, the pve is just offensively boring, and they are showing no real signs that they plan on making the pvp system interesting.  Canceled subscription; this game provides a bit of pvp amusement before becoming completely uninteresting.

I had a lot of negativity to STO before it went into beta, most likely coming from the fact Cryptic was making it. When the game went into closed beta I managed to get a key and hopped in. My first 2 days I had a blast and really thought about subbing, then as the second day ticked on, realized there just wasnt enough content to ever warrent dropping 50 bucks on it. Sadly it could have been something very fun in the hands of a different developer.

what the hell did you all expect? even before this game launched everybody knew how horrible it was going to be from how beta testers were saying.  even the news released about the game told you how boring and crappy it was.

and if you beta'd it you should of known better.

Cryptic is a p.o.s thats true.

but its kinda shame on you for buying it.

they even stated that they werent making this game to please trekkies!

When I was in STO beta that was my thought, "even people who are determined to enjoy this game will probably fail to enjoy it no matter how hard they try."

But I am a big fan of Champions, which is my favorite 3D game of all time.  Hopefully some people enjoy STO as much as I continue to enjoy Champions.

Cryptic is trying a Customer Development approach to MMO creation.

    This.

I really wanted to like this game even after reading all the bad press about it.  They had so much to work with.  Couple space combat with the ability to walk around outside your ship and actually fight!  I mean how can this be bad?

Cryptic should be stamped for producing extremly low products.

If it's not broken, you are not innovating.
