Rainbow Six Vegas 2 Online

tehikktehikk Member Posts: 497

Do people still play Rainbow Six: Vegas 2 online? Or is it dead, I'm curiouse because it is A) on steam for $10 and B) it's the 19th most purchased game on Steam going for under $10.

When I say the 19th most purchased game, I mean for games under $10, just to clear that up.

It's still alive and well on xbox 360. As for the pc; just do a google search of Vegas 2 forums for pc. If the forums are active than the game is active. My answer for you through sheer intuition is yes. More than likely the game is still very active. Just like any FPS franchise, they all have a very "hardcore" cult following.

Jedi Knight Academy more than likely is not still active online. When it was, though, the lightsaber duels were amazing. Single, Dual, or Staff saber styles with single Saber having 3 different fighting forms. The game had a "very" suprising amount of depth to it. I actually miss it alot.

There was a mechanic in the game that when 2 light sabres locked up, you could either attack, defend, or evade. Each option had its own disadvantage. Many times i can remember dueling a single sabre opponent and locking up. I watched as his lone light sabre stayed locked with one of my own, and  my character used the force to swirl through the air its second light sabre around us both to stab him in the back. Good times indeed.

I heard Jedi Academy does not run very well on newer PCs.

Does anyone know if this is true?

“It's unwise to pay too much, but it's worse to pay too little. When you pay too much, you lose a little money - that's all. When you pay too little, you sometimes lose everything, because the thing you bought was incapable of doing the thing it was bought to do. The common law of business balance prohibits paying a little and getting a lot - it can't be done. If you deal with the lowest bidder, it is well to add something for the risk you run, and if you do that you will have enough to pay for something better.”
