He (caller) had been dating his girlfriend, Ashley, for five years and was going to propose on V-Day -- at least until he found out that she was allegedly cheating on him. Instead of dumping her on that day, however, he decided to do the deed live on the air.

I don't think this is old, and I don't know how many of you have heard it.. but I'll go ahead and post it here anyway. Most of you will either think its heartless/wrong or hilarious/funny.

She deserved to be dumped, but I wouldn't do it like that. I think it's too much of a private matter to do it over the airwaves.

But to each his own. He sure did humiliate her, there's no question about that. It sounds like she was definately cheating on him. You do something like that, you better be sure. If he had turned out to be wrong, he would have screwed himself.

I don't think so. It seems pretty clear to me that she was blindsided by the phone call. She is genuinely shaken by the whole thing. If it were staged, she should be an actress because you can tell she's a wreck.

Now the guy seems pretty calm about it, but it could just be that he is so upset that he was determined to dump her no matter what.

listening to it now, and the radio hosts made it a bit worse by leadin her into thinkin he was gonna propose. But shes been cheatin on em and they've been together for 5 years. So i can't say i pity her, hard to have sympathy for cheaters.
