Will this laptop run AOC any other MMOs down line?

WazMeisterWazMeister Member Posts: 149

I know everyone says "Dont go for a laptop, get a desktop!" more for the bcuk!"

But would AOC be playable on thbis in at least MED graphics and maybe some others down the line-

AlienWare M11x

http://www1.euro.dell.com/uk/en/home/Laptops/alienware-m11x/pd.aspx?refid=alienware-m11x&s=dhs&cs=ukdhs1&~ck=mn

Are there any other companies that do laptops powerful enough to play AOC maybe in med to high that are aroundt he same price mark or even cheaper?

Must be some laptops out there on good deals to run AOC high.

Sorry, I didn't read the rest of this thread. I've participated in countless threads like this in the past month or so because of it being Tax Return season in the US.

Plus, idk where to shop for uk laptops.

Afraid it has to be a laptop.

Cant seem to find a decent laptop that will run AoC in high at a good price........

I never understood this madness over alienware tbh. They cost a small fortune for the parts they put in.Heck even sony is too expensive for what you get.

For those lucky enough to be based in USA there are loads of great choices .

    Take this for instance http://www.amazon.com/Toshiba-Qosmio-X505-Q860-18-4-Inch-Black-Red/dp/B003070YJW

i7 with 360m! That is top of the line on a 18 inch screen = toss the desktop away! for $1200

Sadly if you are based in UK you are more or less screwed.$1200 is about £800 which would make us go wow!

But firstly this laptop is not in UK yet and when it comes expect it to sell for no less then £1000.

In the UK i suggest dell studio 17.There was a deal last week for a i5,500gb,hd5650(about 10% or so less powerful then the 360 but also good stuff)  for £650 and for £700 u get 3 year warranty.Dunno if the deal is still running but that should also play any mmorpg out there in high setting .

lol, you are looking for the equivalent of a $1200 laptop in the US and there is a perfect match for you in that price range.  However, the UKs prices are so jacked up its amazing.  This laptop sells for $1500 in the US, yet sells for $2700(1800 pounds) in the UK.  Talk about price difference.  Try www.asuslaptop.co.uk I cannot access it from the US.

    ASUS G73JH-X1

I highly recommend the ASUS G73JH, or any of the recent ASUS laptops with a Core i7 and ATI Mobility card.  Especially for Age of Conan that is ATI biased.  It seems in the US the ASUS G73JH-A1 is the hottest laptop to buy.  This one is the X1 which doesn't come with the accessories blu-ray or a raided drive.
