Alrighty guys, after years of playing wow, it just seems each expansion/patch makes this game worse and worse. i mean if you're into raiding and pve, wow is the game for you, however, i play games strictly for their pvp. and i guess what im looking for, is a game that plays similar to wow, but the pvp doesnt suck, also i wouldent mind less questing.
the pvp ive enjoyed most in games were diablo 2, wow, and savage 2, and guild wars
things i do not like about these games:
wow- pvp is just awful now, they are focusing way too much on pve, and pvp is just way too gear reliant rather than skill reliant, too much pve to get to end game.
diablo 2- just too old now
savage 2- great pvp system, however im looking for something more rpg based, and where u actually have to work for your character somewhat and dont just reset levels every game.
rakion- good pvp system, looking for something that you actually level up skills/gain more skills as you play.
guildwars- i like the pvp i guess, but im looking for something more self reliant as well as party pvp, and more open world pvp too
other games i have played would include, shaiya, cabal, runes of magic, sun as well as some other games. im not going to lie, i didnt reach high enough level to really pvp in any of these games, however i just could not really get into the pve in these games enough to level anymore

You could try out Regnum Online this is a 3 realm Realm vs Realm f2p game like Dark Age of Camelot. The graphics aren't as good as WoW, but the gameplay is excellent.
The world is non-instanced, and all pvp takes place in the "war zone" where realms contest objectives like forts and castles.
Why not play darkfall? it's pvp paradise right now.
ive heard alot of good about darkfall, however, im kinda tight on money right now which is why im looking for a f2p game
Continent of the Ninth is f2p and #1 but pretty hard to get
Generation P
i thought c9 isnt out yet?
Open beta for Korea.
Edit: Also will be P2P.
mk well lets hear some games that have actually been released
Give Ace Online a try http://ace.subagames.com/ - It is the North American version of Air Rivals which is formerly known as Space Cowboys online. Ace Online is a PvP focused game consisting of Nation vrs Nation PvP. A new Pilot with skills will beat cash shop whores and bad players with end game gear.
League of Legends?
Let's play Fallen Earth (blind, 300 episodes)
Let's play Guild Wars 2 (blind, 45 episodes)
you can try flyff online, RF online, Atlantica Online ^_^
Hey,
You may enjoy Fantasy Earth Zero developed by Square Enix:
http://www.hookedgamers.com/pc/fantasy_earth_zero/preview/article-629.html
There's a huge focus on realm vs. realm combat which is a 50 vs 50 pvp (there's also stat tracking which includes k / d ration and numbers of win / loss). Also, there's an incredible amount of depth to this combat, such as being able to create / summon large creatures and structures. The combat is twitch / skill based, where you can jump, dodge, and targeting requires aiming. Open beta starts tomorrow. There's 3 main classes, but in actuality with subclasses there's 7. It may not have the best graphics, but to me what's more important is gameplay / fun.
thanks for the suggestions guys ace looks pretty tight im sure ill get it a try here pretty soon, i just found this game allods though, F2P reminds me alot of wow, so far ive seen a mix between wow game play and skills and diablo 2 skills. seems to be the next big thing for me , however im only level 4 so i have a long way to go before i decide if i like the pvp or not, plus the cash shop hasnt come out yet, so im sure that will ruin a big part of the game as well. but ive seen some youtube videos of pvp and it looks like the play style im looking for, none of that toe to toe combat crap where melee classes just sit there beating on ranged classes who dont even move away at all, and to where say a warrior and a rogue would fight toe to toe and obviously the warrior wins because hes a a stronger melee character, seems that some melee classes have other skills that keep them from fighting toe to toe, which is what i absolutely HATE in games pvp systems. allods.gpotato.com/
Also why is it that in all the people asking for games, people continue to recommend RF online when it has been cancelled in US and EU servers? and to what i understand has been cancelled for almost a year and a half?
You can pick up Guild Wars for fairly cheap now and will offer you a lot of pvp options with some fun build mechanics similar to magic the gathering while setting up your skill bar.
My Guild Wars 2 Vids
nottt gonna lie, league of legends looks pretty lame, just doesnt look like my cup of tea at all,
and the the dude who reccomended guild wars should prob read the original post and how it says ive tried guild wars, actually just got it last week, it has a balanced pvp system which i like, however i dont like games that the only pvp consist of group/guild pvp, i like to do some solo pvp sometimes, rather than rely on other people, from what ive seen in guild wars, if 1 person on a team sucks, they lose but i do like MTG and play some MTGO
RF has been rehosted by CCR, It was intended to be a replacement for the NA/European servers that went down when codemasters lost it. What it ended up as is being a global version with next to dead servers. CCR is intent on opening up a new server every couple of months and hosting a first to lvl 50 contest on that server as a ploy to milk players out of cash.
Then after all of the pvp dies on the older servers and the player base dwindles to the point that entire guilds die off they once again merge servers and restart the entire mess by opening up another new server.
If you don’t like pvp being affected by gear then you have no reason to pvp in games with cash shops or equivalent that allow players to buy their way to the best gear in the game. That basically rules out all the games with cash shops. Of the remaining f2p games with no cash shops I can’t think of anything that have good pvp systems (unless you count GW as f2p). So you may want to go back to games such as WoW after all.
